I too stayed here as part of a Trafalgar tour & have to agree it was the worst accommodation of the tour. Rooms small & outdated, curtains were filthy & had cigarette burns in them. Supplied towels were almost threadbare. Meals very, very average. Apart from the young man at reception, the rest of the staff weren't friendly at all.... More

Stayed here as part of our European Cavalcade Tour for 2 nights. Good location compensates for the small and dated rooms. Very soft bed and pillows. Free WiFi available in reception/dining/rooms but difficult to connect. Included dinner was basic, as was breakfast. No tea or coffee making facilities in rooms but staff were happy to supply hot water when requested.... More

We stayed here as part of a Trafalgar European Cavalcade tour. We stayed 2 nights and had a room on the 2nd floor close to the lifts. The room was small but we managed well with 2 suitcases. The bathroom was quite small but manageable. For the time we spent in the room we found it to ok. The hotel... More

As many of the other reviews, we also travelled with a group with Trafalgar. All the other hotels we have stayed previously were of much better quality and service. Staff weren't polite, wouldn't give us a second pillow and were grumpy. Rooms were too small and you couldn't even open your suitcase. The only good thing was free wi-fi and... More

The rooms in the hotel are only small with a small bathroom, shower over the bath. The room was clean. There are no tea/coffee facilities, fridge or AC in the rooms. Ice is available. We stayed here as part of a Trafalgar tour. The hotel is in a great location walking distance to everything. The breakfast is cereal, bread and... More

I agree with LitchfieldGordon. A Hilton it is not, nor is it supposed to be. But it is a lovely hotel for a great value. Small rooms in a small hotel but so close to the beautiful water, it doesn't matter. The staff was friendly enough and the food was fine.

This could be a great little hotel - excellent location in Lucerne but staff surly, bed ridiculously uncomfortable, food very very average, internet impossible, noisy rubbish collection at 5am, staff smoking outside........ truely a very unmemorable experience.

Some reviews on here seem to be comparing the Weinhof to big hotels like a Hilton. That's a mistake, and misses the point. The Weinhof is a small, excellent value hotel in a great location. Fancy it is not. The breakfast is fine rather than great, a small buffet, and the rooms are comfortable but plain. So it's basic. But,... More

Stayed in this hotel in September of this year, not by choice, was picked out by Trafalgar Tour company for us. out of our 14 nights in hotels on the road, this was by far the worst! a lobby that would hold about 10 people, tiny tiny elevator, and freakin plastic ice chest with ice sitting on a stand on... The room was small but quaint & you can open your windows which had no screens which you didn't want anyway & hear the church bells ringing & little bustle from the street. It was so positive & you didn't mind as much that the room was small. The staff was helpful & eager to please. I would definitely plan... More
