We stayed 1 night to have the experience of sleep in an antique jail; the hotel presserv all the atmosphere of the jail, and is really great and fun, even a creapy lights when you walk throug the hotel. We read at the comments about the noise of the street at night and was true, we stayed at friday night... More

We stayed on a Friday night on the second floor. Great fun, very unique and interesting. Clean, mattresses were very comfortable and shower was great. Room was a nice temperature too. A great fun experience for our first night here. The Soul Chicken place was great across the road too. Really funny to see some of the other reviews (too... More

It was certainly interesting staying in an old jail, but as a hotel it left a lot to be desired. The rooms were heated, but it was only really warm right next to the heaters which were above the beds. There was no wifi, so for travellers wanting to stay connected that's a downside, but really that didn't bother me... More

This is the worst place I've ever stayed at. And for the price it's a joke! The experience of staying in a jail isn't even worth it. No wifi, no heaters, terrible beds, the room smelt too. Good was also cold at dinner time. And the music insanely loud at the club. Very disappointing.

This would be a great jail experience hotel if you could actually use the rooms. The rooms are tiny and dirty and don't even think about trying to sleep. I understand it's a jail experience but for the amount of money you pay I would rather stay in a hostel

Don’t go to this hostel if you wish to sleep, between 1am and 8am you’ll have little chances to do so: there’s a club on the ground floor and the party expands to hostel’s corridors where clubbers have their loud conversations, fights, etc. There are gaps around room’s doors to make sure guests get everything in the original volume (plus... This hotel has a great location, but terrible rooms, I understand its suppose to be a jail hotel, but at least make the things useable in the room, no outlet except near the door, no wifi, and the bed was falling apart. Def would not go back.

Excellent experience if you want to try how is spending one night in Jail, that's all. The cells are very small. and the structure is very close to the original use of the building. Apart of that the solution was the cheapest in a town which can not offer many hotel options.

Stayed here in late November of 2014 and really liked it. Definitely quiet and the off season, but I got the "most wanted single room" and it was quite nice. It also had two beds so maybe can also be a double? I booked whatever was cheapest which turned out to be a single. Nice style, cool feel in the... More

Stayed 2 nights as part of a Contiki tour. Another Contiki group were there as well. Issues with the booking, rooms had been booked and double checked, twin share rooms became a double so people were forced to share a bed. Free dinner was given on the second night to make up for it, which was appreciated since dinner out... More
