Stayed here over the weekend of the 22nd August due to my cousins wedding. The women checking us in was absolutely lovely and check in was fast. We were then shown our room by another women who helped my mum out with the lift being that she is on crutches. The room was big, the beds very comfy and the... More

This hotel is located very close to the railway station (around 5 minutes) and also very close to the old town. We had booked two double rooms. The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. Each of our rooms had a very small balcony. The best part was the view of the Lucerne lake and Chapel bridge from the room. The... More

This is a quirky "above the pub" hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean but the view overlooking Lake Lucerne, the city and covered bridge is amazing. The location is less than 5 minutes from the railway station and within easy walking distance to the old city. This was a quirky accommodation choice with amazing views and a great location.

Located right on the River over looking the historic wooden bridge sits the Hotel Pickwick. This is a Swiss owned British Pub with Restaurant. This is a classic British Pub with some English style beers and European beers on tap. The Pub food is very acceptable...not gourmet ,but worth the price. We also stay up stairs in the Little Hotel.... More

We stayed here for a night while travelling in Switzerland. The location is brilliant, we had a balcony and overlooked the river. Although it is above a pub there was no rowdy crowds just happy people having a drink! Beds were really comfy, staff were lovely and it was very clean. Free wifi, tea and coffee facilities and a fan... More

The location of this place is beautiful...on the riverfront overlooking the Chapel Bridge. The downside of that view is the noise from the bar and cafés below. If you close the windows and turn on the strong fan provided, it drowns out the noise. Sadly, due to the noise, you can't sleep with the windows open and there's no air... More

I was staying in the hotel for 3 nights on from 27th to 30th July. After paying 170 CHF per night, I was having just a room for sleep. There is no room service, even there was a not a phone in the room. The hotel is very much outdated and of very poor quality. The bedding was horrible and... More

I really liked this hotel, and I am not a drinker. The location is fabulous, right on the water, and there is so much to walk around and see just outside the hotel. It is very close to the train station, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and I really felt like I got to stay in the middle... More

We love this hotel! We had a room that was facing the chapel bridge. The whole view was like it was taken off a postcard! My husband and I got wine and food from coop and spent the nights in the room just gazing at the river (& people watching) and enjoying our food (good value from coop). The room... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Pickwick is a popular tourist hotel and "Swiss lodge" approx. 600 yards from the railway station. Located directly on the banks of the river Reuss, in the heart of the historical old town of Lucerne, the hotel commands a superd view of the world famous wooden "Kapell bridge". Very well maintained simple rooms with en-suite shower and WC, flat-screen TV, room-safe, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryer, and free WIFI. Most rooms have a small balcony overlooking the river. Every room is a "room with a view"!Breakfast is not included but we recommend a nearby restaurant (only a few steps away) that offers a great breakfast buffet.Parking: due to our location in the historical old town we recommend that you use the parking garage at the train stations (600 yards away). ... more   less
