The hotel is in an excellent location: just 100 meters from the Lake. The service is good: the managers are very friendly. The price per night is good. There is also an interesting small collection of pictures. The restaurant is good, but the prices are a little bit too high. The breakfast is very poor: I have had it at... More

We were part of a Cosmos tour that stayed here so we did not choose this hotel. It is in a great location next to the lake and walking distance to everything available-the restaurants, the historical bridge, and bars and cafes. The rooms were very small but clean. The staff were at times not very happy and did not seem... More

Part of our Cosmos tour...this room was the smallest of any on the trip. But it was clean and quiet. One of the staff, (most of them spoke German), communicated as best she could in English, and politely and promptly helped when the lights in the room would not work. The room was clean and quiet. Staff at breakfast were... More

We stayed 2 nights in August. This hotel had no air conditioning so we had to open the windows which had no screen and very noisy because main street and lots of traffic and trucks. Room was small but clean. Close distance to sight seeing of the town. Don't eat dinner here. Very expensive - even charge for table water.,Served... More

The best thing about this hotel is its location - just a stone's throw from the lake and a couple of blocks from the Old Town. Close to lake cruises, souvenir shops, restaurants and a large grocery store. It appears to be mostly used by tour groups on one or two night stays. Our room was on the 5th floor... More

The hotel is clean, and is located right in the heart of downtown. That is pretty much where the good news ends though. The lady who runs this hotel is about as gruff as they come, and they enforce some crazy rules in hopes of fining the residents who are mostly foreign tourists. I was told upon check-in to be... Oh my god, this was a truly horrible experience staying here. It's situated right next to a main street, making it very noisy at the best of times, then you add the fact it doesn't have air conditioning (?!?!), requiring you to keep your windows open all night, makes it near on impossible to actually sleep there. Then the beds... More

The Luzernahof is located central to Lucerne. It is clean and comfortable with only single beds available. The rooms are well appointed but very noisy. The nightclub life makes sleep in an unair-conditioned room nearly impossible. The hotel enforces a no washing rule which is pretty tough on travellers. The staff are very mean and surly and really give you... More

This hotel was all about location, location and is right in the middle of the CBD and close to the lake. The room was nice with lake views. Their laundry service was fantastic where you paid by the bag full farther than by item. We did not use the restaurant or bar because the hotel was so close to many... More

I would just like to thank Chris and Sofia on the fantastic meal we had at their restaurant. A really authentic Swiss Meal and hospitality was great. The veal in mushroom sauce with rosti was delicious and we would certainly go back for the crepe suzettes. Thank you for a wonderful evening, Lyn and John
