The hotel is small but very welcoming even at 2330 for our arrival. The room had been set up for us with an additional bed but the 5 of us still fitted comfortably. For once in hotel plenty of hotels. As mentioned in other peoples reviews the breakfast was excellent. A nice elegant, chalet style inside and slept solidly with... More

The hotel room we had was on the top floor. a big room, and a little quirky as the floor seemed to be a little uneven.. however there is a big cathedral next door, and the bells go off at the cathedral every 15 minutes (single ding), and on the hour.. this even happens at 2am and 3am in the... Hotel well situated and very good but sadly other guests who were inconsiderate ruined our sleep on the Saturday night. Late Saturday night until 03.00 on Sunday morning I could have believed a herd of elephants had moved in running up and down stairs with monotonous frequency. Breakfast was great, dinner was fine but there are plenty of good places... More

I really mean that! All of them really attentive and helpful upon all wandered questions. Although I would point out 2 substantial problems: As an old construction, the floor/ceiling are wood made, so if you have a "pig" upstairs, like I did, horsing around in the early morning, you might get mad... Second, if you are driving a car, watch... More

I absolutely loved staying at this hotel, with it's antique character, quiet ambience, friendly, accommodating, and well-informed staff, great food and location. The only drawback is that the adjacent church bells ring day and night. By the second night, we barely noticed them. Our room had so much character, as it was in the old part of the hotel, however,... More

A beautiful and comfortable hotel to stay at with very friendly and helpful staff . It's well situated for easy access to the station, town and lake and the funicular makes it unique and fun. We had an amazing view of the lake and surrounding mountains.

The reason I'm giving this hotel 4* and recommending it is the staff. They made our stay and were all incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. They helped with reservations and bookings, advised us on weather and directions but mainly it was just their positive attitude. The location is very central and makes it easy to get around, only 5 mins... More

There were FOUR of us: friends traveling for 24 days through Germany, Italy, and Switzerland...and, hands down, the reception we received at the Rebstock in Lucerne was that absolute best! From the young lady who checked us in to the Manager, Mr. Sieber, we felt so welcomed and assisted at every turn. The location of this hotel could not have... More

In my days of corporate world, I have stayed in some of the top hotels in many countries. They can learn a thing or two from this charming property. No, it is not brass and glass, nor is it meant to be, so if you want that environment, new furniture and all the fancy trappings, then this is not for... More

Like many European hotels, the rooms in the Rebstock are small, but you aren't here for the room, go out and experience the city. Located just across the lake from the train station, the Rebstock is easy to get to, and decently priced. The one downside is the church close by as the bells ring out at all hours of... More
