Comfortable, friendly restaurant and by the standards of Lucerne also good value for money. The walled garden is a pleasant spot to take a long lunch. Two course set lunch is usually good. Last visit I had fish and salad and the time before soup and game (Roe deer) Well worth it.

First thing to say is that our sat nav did not recognise the street. However, head to the heart of Lucerne, look for the twin gothic spires and the hotel is right below. This is a lovely hotel but the 5stars are for the comfort of the bed alone! On arrival, check in was excellent plus they offered us bottles... More

Part of our European Dream Trip was to see famous Swiss Alps. Destination, Lucerne Switzerland. My hubby and I had decided to book for 4 days at the Hotel Zum Rebstock among 3 nice hotels in our lists to choose from. And we didn't regret it. The hotel is somewhat outdated but well-kept. Floors creaked when busy but didn't mind... More

Located right off the lake and just off the old city tourist track, Hotel zum Reckstock is a great place to stay, explore Lucerne and to go for an early morning run alongside the water. Devoid of stereotypical (charmless) hotel furniture and fixtures, the old building with the woodwork, the paneling and, also, the small works of art on display,... More

Rooms- Very nice and clean room with bathtub, minibar, fridge, fan, comfortable bed. Wash basin design is flawed, the water collects at the rim and when you try to use the basin your clothes get wet View- Kind of lake view. It was not directly facing the lake but if I looked to the right then I could see part... More

I stayed at this hotel for tow nights. The hotel is a lovely trendy place, which I absolutely loved. However, as the hotel is in an old building, it was a bit noisy to me and it was unfortunately hard sleep peacefully. It would have been very hard to spend more than 2 nights at this place, which is such... More

If you want to stay in a cosy place in the heart of Lucerne, this is your place to be. The hearty breakfast buffet with lovely service is just as nice as a dinner in the hotel's own restaurant, which totally doesn't feel like a normal "hotel restaurant". My favorite is the "Züricher Geschnetzeltes" - ask for the big portion.

We had a wonderful cosy room with luxurious linens with views of the lake - but quiet from the busy lake traffic as it is protected near the famous Hof Church. This staff are very friendly and make your pet dog feel very comfortable too - even snacks for him. The rooms have lots of character - old charm mixed... More

We traveled to Lucerne November 12th. Spent 3 days there before continuing on to Stockholm, Sweden. Had an excellent room and all staff were very excellent, from the young lady who greeted us when we arrived to the various staff throughout the hotel restaurant and bars. We had an amazing time in Lucerne and found all the people friendly and... More

This hotel has to be the best I have ever stayed in ( and I've stayed in a few!) For customer service they cannot be beaten ...... It feels as if you are staying in a family run hotel where YOU become one of the family, NOTHING is too much trouble. The rooms are lovely, the food out of this... More
