We picked this hotel based on reviews, location and price. It was centrally located in the old part of Luzern, very convenient to shops, restaurants, etc. That was also the main drawback. We had a lot of trouble finding the place to unload luggage, and then had to park the car about 5 blocks away. The other issue was the... More

Our hotel was booked through an agent and after reading some negative blogs we arrived with trepidation. We received a warm welcome and yes, the rooms are small, but adequate. The restaurant provides excellent food and service. The street and restaurant noise add to the ambience. Location is fantastic and central to all amenities. The hotel is spotless and the... More

It’s right next to the famous Chapel Bridge and surrounded by all the cute trendy shops and cafes. The receptionist Raquel Kobi was very helpful giving all the information we requested in fluent English. Surprised to note that she has spent 5 years in Australia and still has her brother living in Australia. It’s looks like we got the smallest... More

Lucerne is expensive but this hotel is a good value, very small, very modern and very clean and ideally located. Seems VERY recently modernized, not 1987 as I read somewhere. Yes, beds are low to the ground, and shower is tiny so if you plan on hanging out in your room all day, or a fancy lobby, this is not... More

Location and cleanliness are by the most important things to me on a sightseeing tour in Europe, and this hotel met the mark. Lovely location in the old city but a reasonable walk to the train station even with luggage. We also enjoyed the Nespresso coffee maker in the room. The bathroom was small, but clean and functional. A couple... More

I am interested to see the review specifically describing room 102, which exactly mirrors my own experience of 4 nights in it a week ago. I asked how to turn the heating down within an hour of arrival, but wasn't given the pizza oven explanation until day 3. Sleeping in the room had been very uncomfortable up until then, but... More

The Hotel zum Weissen Kreuz is ideally located in the old city of Lucerne. All interesting spots are at walking distance. The hotel has one of the best pizzeria in town. Rooms are renovated, pleasant and have a Nespresso coffee machine. Bathroome are small.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights when Lucerne was experiencing some warm days. The staff are very friendly and the hotel looks like it has been recently renovated and as a result the rooms look great with real character. The hotel is in a great location and just a stone throw from the old bridge in the centre... More

Loved this hotel! Great location - a 3-5 minute walk from the main train station. Very friendly and helpful concierge/reception staff - they made us feel very welcomed upon our arrival and happily answered all of our questions about where to buy tickets for our planned activities. The decor of the room was lovely - it was clean and had... More

Recently spent one night here with my Father. We had booked two single rooms. The hotel seems to have three single rooms Room 102,202 and 302. Each of these rooms are situated on the side of the building running up the lane between the hotel and another building so no view. (Currently there is very noisy building work going on... More
