This year (2006) was my third time staying at the Hotel and I am again and again amazed by this unique hotel. Every room is different what makes every trip a new experience. Food at the Bam Bou is excellent, staff is very friendly... there is nothing to add! However, be aware is an exquisite 5 star design hotel and... More

We recently stayed at The Hotel in Lucerne. For those looking for a unique 5 star experience , look no further. The Hotel combines a hi-tech luxurious experience with the service quality of a 5 star hotel. The rooms are avante garde in an Ian-Shragerish way. The amenities including Bulgari toiletries are top-of-the line. This is not your typical Swiss... More

We stayed at The Hotel in July, 2005 for 3 nights in 2 rooms. I agree with the previous post regarding the rooms (look cool, too dark to read, shower not well designed). I thought that the staff was very helpful, but not necessarily well-informed. We asked for a print out of locations to see a movie. We then walked... More

July, 2005; just returned from 3 nights at "The Hotel" in Lucerne, Switzerland; we intially selected it because it was one of the few hotels in all of Lucerne that was air-conditioned; what I read about it was accurate to a point; it was unique with it's painted "sexy" ceilings; the rooms, furnished minimally and ultra modern, were sizeable (we... We enjoyed our time at The Hotel in Lucerne. The place is hip, ultra-modern, and swanky- unlike any place I've ever stayed. Our room had walls the color of pumpkin and a huge plasma tv (great for EuroSports!). The mural painted on the ceiling seemed bizarre at first, but I got used to it. Food in the Bam Bou restaurant... I am moving back to the US this week after a three month assignment in Lucerne and can't leave without passing on my unparallelled experience at The Hotel where I stayed for my first three weeks. The hotel is centrally located within a three minute walk to the train station. The rooms are large, clean, and uncluttered, perhaps even a... More

Very accommodating, professional staff. Thoughtful too. They do nice things for you, such as remembering to send you to dinner with an umbrella when the forecast calls for rain. They put a chocolate bunny next to your bed on Easter. The receptionist herself will show you to your room and explain its features. The turn down service always leaves you... More

Should be the Mecca of design hotels. Staff is professional, the French/asian food at Bam Bou is excellent, but the real magic of this place is in it's rooms. The ceilings are large stills from differnt films by Felini, Fassbinder and Wim Wenders- to name a few. Wood floors, super comfortable beds combine with up-lighting and subtle reflections that make... More

Fine Hotel in a great part of town. It isn't a fancy hotel and your first impression isn't necessarily all that favorable. But it is very clean, everything works as it should. The staff is friendly and helpful. All thing considered we had a very nice stay and will stay here again on our next trip.
