This is a hotel I really wanted to like. It clearly tries hard and it has an unbeatable location - so you have wonderful views and a real sense of style in the hotel design. But it falls down on the standard of the room - or at least the room I was given. It was on the 2nd floot... more

Ive just returned from a Switzerland holiday and we stayed at this lovely hotel for 4 nights in May-end. The room was beautifully furnished, we had 2 balconies, one looking at the lake. The hotel decor is beautiful and classy. There is a lovely terrace with lake & mountains views where you can have breakfast. The breakfast buffet itself was... more

Sorry to read about the disappointed Bride on her honeymoon, we were thrilled. Given the time of year perhaps, and the poor state of the economy, the hotel was not fully booked. Upon arrival, my husband and I were upgraded to an extremely large suite on the corner of the building (room 203). Stayed 2 nights in May '09. If... more

My family (wife, two children 13 & 11 years old), and I, had a lovely stay at the Hotel Montana over the Easter holiday weekend. We booked a junior suite with two extra roll-away beds for the kids. The staff was warm and very professional, and the hotel looked magnificent. Our room was good sized, with plenty of room for... more

This is really one of the best 4star hotels in Switzerland I have ever stayed at! As others mentionned the location is unbeatable, the staff well trained and friendly and the whole interior decoration tastefully. We booked a standart lake view room. It was recently redone and I liked the airy and fresh design. But it looked more modern than... more

My husband and I stayed in the Montana for 2 nights, based on Trip Advisor reviews. We were very happy with the service from the front of house staff and found them to be very helpful. Our room on the 3rd floor, although it did not have a view of the lake, was very spacious, comfortable and well appointed, ie,... more

The best thing about this hotel is the view - you cannot top that! If you drive there, make sure to use your GPS, it is not very easy to find it if you do not know the way. I stayed in a junior suite. It was quite spacious - especially the bathrooms. Whilst soaking im my bath tub I... more

We stayed at the Montana twice, in summer 2006 and 2007. The hotel has some great strengths. The room we stayed in was beautiful. It looked out over the lake, and has one of the best views of anywhere we have stayed. The public rooms are elegant. The mini-funicular railway to the level of the lake is great fun. Some... more

We had a great and huge room, the bathroom is literally in the room (without any door; there is just a door for the WC, at the other end of the bathroom); that was surprising, but we liked it. The cathodic TV set is just from another time but that's not really important. more
