Location is near main train station. Breakfast good. Only complaint was knocking on the hotel door early in the morning at dawn for about 30 minutes. It is more of an apartment with no one to man the reception at night time. more

Spotlessly clean, somewhat 'hip' style -- not a run-of-the-mill hotel. It felt comfortable, easy going and home-like with friendly and helpful staff. Quiet location, close to the train station -- i walked with my luggage and it took about 5 - 10 mintues. Breakfast order is taken on check-in and then delivered to your room at the agreed upon time... more

My first impression was "what the hell did I book for this much per night?' I must say when I got there at 11pm I was walking from the train station down to the hotel and there were some pretty suspect characters hanging around. I didn't ever feel threatened at all but I knew this wasn't the best area of... more

We stayed at the Tor for just one night, to catch an early flight after vacationing in France. Room would have been fine, except that it was a really hot day and the room was too hot to sleep in. Opening the window was a lousy option, as there was lots of street noise throughout the night. Turning on the... more

Would recommend this hotel as a convenient and cost efficient way of visiting Geneva. The hotel is small and quite quirky with beautiful wooden floors and large windows. We stayed in a family room with a double bed and 2 singles and found the room to be large enough for our needs. The bathroom was small and a bit tired... more

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel and booked a compact room at CHF 150.00 per night. The positives: short walk from the train station; good breakfast with toast, croissants, cereal, yoghurt, and fruit, bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean. Although we expected the room to be compact, we didn't expect the room to be so gloomy. There was very... more

This place made me smile. Someone with a good eye for how to mix old and new furnishings was at work here! I loved the old style windows, wooden floor, photos, mini chandelier and cosy bed. The staff were very helpful. The location is on the Rivre Droite side close to the lake, in what felt like a 'safe' area,... more

The staff is nice, but the room hardly need refurnishing, the bathroom is old, the breakfast is poor. You have to take breakfast at the room and they woke us up at 8h30, although we had asked not to be woken up before 9h30. Then when we came back in the afternoon we had to ask for our room to... more

I visited Geneva between 26th April to 29th April. For 1st two days stayed at the Intercontinental as the expenses were paid by the company. On 28th stayed at the Tor hotel. The room offered by Tor hotel was a twin bed withuot toilet. But at a cost of 100 CHF it was a good price available at last minute... more

Stayed here with hubby and 3 young kids for a night on the way back form a skiing trip, and we were all really pleased with this little hotel. Have to say we found it easy to find (roughly half way between train station and lake). Yes, there may not be as much in the way of hotel facilities like... more
