This is my third time in Geneva for meeting. I stayed 10 nights here. The best location as Manor (Department Store) just opposite the hotel (5 steps walk: That's amazing!) ,Gare Carnovin (Train station) and Lake Geneva just 5 minutes walk as well as a lot of bus stops around the hotel. The breakfast was simple but enough. (Contrinental and... More

Room was clean and tidy, but some furnitures could do it with a renovation. The breakfast room seems to be the only place which had been refurbished just recently. Liked the modern and warm design. The breakfast buffet is quite small, sort of an "Continental Style" but it is enough to get you satisfied. Front Office staff are friendly and... More

The only reason to stay in this hotel is the price. Geneva is very tough regarding the hotel costs and to spend 150eur a night gives You NO luxury. Hotel Excelsior is not the place You would go for a romantic trip, but it is perfectly central, fairly clean and there is not much more to expect. You can easily... More

This hotel has very good location, just next to railwaystation. Room that i had was very basic but nice. Hotel is tidy and clean. There was some noise from the street but that went away with earplugs... Room has safe, hairdryer, tv and radio but no kettle etc. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was breakfast costing 15CHF, bit pricey.... More

Conveniently located next to Manor Shopping and the river and downtown district, this is a nice place for base camp. Staff are very helpful and friendly. We have stayed here several times over the last 10 years and are never disappointed. Breakfast is tasty. Wi-fi a bit dodgy in some rooms.

I stayed for one night, as other hotels in the same price range were booked out. The location is great - near to the main station and close to the city centre. However, the hotel seems old and run down. The shower was mouldy, and some fitments in the bathroom were coming apart. Towels were scrappy. The hotel floors are... More

The location is the star of the place, it is a stone's throw from the city centre and Geneva's main rail station. The staff were friendly and efficient on check-in, and also had a box of Swiss chocolate out for guests. Upsides: Great shower pressure. Room was well cleaned. Great European toiletries. Breakfast buffet was also reasonable, consisting of cold... More

My boyfriend and I spent here two nights. The hotel is only a few minutes away from the railway station (where most of the buses and trams stop). The area is full of shops and restaurants and an also be a bit noisy at night, but nothing unbearable. The hotel is also a few steps away from the small Rousseau... More

Five minutes around the corner from Gare Cornavin, this hotel is definitely 'central' and easy to find. The rooms are pretty basic, but are clean and have everything you need. The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful...especially when it came to the hotel's pretty awful wifi. To say it was inconsistent is putting it mildly. You can, of course,... More

Staff were nice & friendly. The sheets were clean but sadly the rest was quite average & very dated. The bathroom was smelly & the shower rubbish. The view was over a sad grey courtyard which seemed to be a communal ashtray. All this for 160€ a night!
