The room was terribly out of date and in poor repair. The bed and mattress were the worst I have ver slept on, including camping trips. more

We reached the hotel on weekend evening after 5pm due to flight delay, and found our key in an envelope with our names on it, on the wall outside the main entrance! interesting way to pass the key to guests... The room is ok, clean n tidy, kitchen is well-equipped, but have to be careful when lighting up the stove... more

The hotel is in great location, has suites, but the people at the front desk were terrible. I had emailed a month before I got there asking about parking. They told me it was 25CHF. When I got there they told me that I should have reserved it-no apology or suggestions on where to park. It was my fault for... more

Stayed here for the New Year celebrations and was able to arrive by train and walking over the bridge. I expected the worst being in the heart of Geneva with only 5 mins to walk to the Jet d'Eau but it was OK with twin fold down beds. During December and lots of slush I found the heating in the... more

Located in over-priced Geneva, this lower-cost option has an amazing location just off the lake along a central road. Slightly larger "suites", most rooms contain a small kitchen with full size refrigerator, stove and cabinets, with a counter that looks throug to the bedroom. Unfortunately, the carpet is really worn down and dirty (upon mentioning the idea of walking barefoot... more

Don't show up on Sunday after 6 pm... the reception desk is closed and they will put your keys in an enveloped with your name on it taped on the wall, right on the sidewalk! Everything in the hotel is old (furniture, carpets, etc.). The beds are not real beds (you pull it down from the wall) and the rooms... more

I stayed in the Hotel St. Jame's with a friend - he booked it. I presumed he'd paid for inclusive breakfast - but after I'd eaten the only breakfast on offer - breadrolls, coffee and a yoghurt, the manager told me I owed him 20 francs! That's about 12 euro. Considering I'd eaten an excellent dinner the previous night in... more

Hotel St James is a pretty good hotel in a great location in Geneva. Its very easy to find and is about a 15 minute walk from the train station across the lake. Its only a block back from the lakefront and Geneva's famous fountain, has several cheap restaurants a couple of blocks away and is only a five minute... more
