We only stayed one night but we really liked this place. It is 5 mins from the railway station and 10 from the Lake. As elsewhere in Switzerland you get free public transport during your stay. The staff were v friendly, the breakfasts were plentiful, the rooms were dark and quiet. There was a tiny lift for luggage and a... more

I really liked the Admiral and stayed there often when I came through Geneva on Business. Unfortunately, a couple of months ago I booked a room online but my conference was canceled 6 days before the trip - the Admiral held me to their stated policy of no refunds, so three days of advance purchase went down the drain. I... more

I needed a cheap hotel in central Geneva, so was a bit worried about what I would find on check-in. It was a wonderful surprise. For one person the room size was perfect, with queen-size bed, desk, and all the essentials (wifi, tea-maker, safe, plenty of coat hangers, own bathroom). The breakfast was the biggest surprise. In the small serving... more

We just spent 2 nights at the Admiral - would definitely recomment it to friends/ It is so close to the railway station, close to the lake, clean, great breakfast and very pleasant staff. It is in a red light district and next to a sex shop but dont be worried, this is not unusual and very normal in this... more

The pictures are pretty accurate of the room I was given at check in. They were kind enough to allow me to check in at 9 am when I stopped by to ask when my room would be ready, and also immediately offered me the breakfast buffet for that morning. The lift is tiny. I didn't try to use it... more

I stayed here for 3 nights (12-15th Dec) with my siblings and parents. We regularly take short city breaks in Europe and have stayed in a range of various classes of hotels. As our focus was mainly on seeing the city and enjoying a few nights out, one main requirement for us was location. This hotel definitely fitted the bill.... more

Very close to the railway station and just as close to the waterside. We were on the top floor and found it quiet, although this maybe becasue the hotel was not full. Room was warm and comfortable with kettle provided. The buffet breakfast had a great choice and plenty to chose from and is thoroughly reccommneded. Free internet was also... more

This was a good find, easy walking distance from the main railway station and lakeside, and even closer to the long-distance bus station. It's in the red light district but the area was not particularly threatening even at night. The hotel was spotless and the buffet breakfast was the best we have ever experienced. The room was small but still... more

Very good alternative to the big expensive hotels in Geneve. Nice personal - a small breakfast room but a huuuge buffet. Rooms are very quiet! Internet computer in the lobby and wlan in rooms. Close to the railwaystation and close to Paquis, but within some minutes you're at the quai de mont blanc next to the lake. although it's quite... more
