The Hotel Longemalle is like a trip back in time. From the first entrance in an elegant setting to the room with the big double wide windows opening to the street this hotel is comfortable, with excellent staff who offer service. From the start this was a disaster! The person at the reception desk was rude. The room was like a jail cell! I stayed at the Hotel Longemalle for two nights. It was a big disappointment. The location is ok, the rooms aren't. And the rate isn't cheap at all. So far, I stayed at least in 5 hotels in Geneva in the same price range (most of them even cheaper). The Longemalle is the worst! My recommendation: Avoid the Longemalle!!!!! more

although relatively inexpensive for Geneva (single room between 200 and 300 $), do not expect anything special with the rooms; old furniture, small rooms, no taste at all. The location is fantastic, right in the center, on the left bank, easy access to old town. Breakfast food and lounge is nice, take advantage of it. more
