What do we need to know before we choose a hotel? Edelweiss is a 10 minute walk from the train station, but very close to the lake and everything else. The rates are excellent, considering that Geneva is an expensive city. The restaurant experience is UNIQUE, staff is polite and the rooms are lovely! would stay there again for sure. P.S:... more

Hi, we stayed at Ginevra in January 2009 and we found the hotel very warm, comfortable and clean. The receptionists were very helpfuls. It is possible to use internet station. We didn't try the restaurant but we saw that it was very nice. It is also near the centre of the city and the wonderful lake. more

The room was nice and decently sized. Price was the highest one of our trip (which included Paris, Munich, & Salzburg) so the value seemed a bit off to us. The neighborhood was a bit lonely at night but that might have been due to the time of year. Staff was welcoming. We did have some cooking odor from the... more

Arrived at the hotel at 11am and were shown immediately to our room. Best room in the hotel - room 721 with super view of Jet d'eau. Service at the hotel is incredible and staff very attentive. Breakfast supplied in restaurant is great with a wide variety of selections. The dinner at Edelweiss restaurant is a great experience and recommend... more

Stayed here for four nights as a short break to look round Geneva and this was an excellent base. Posts below about the smell are true - cheesetastic - but it doesn't really detract from the experience. The staff were exceptionally helpful, and free wi-fi internet access a bonus. Dining in their resturant certainly an experience, with music and an... more

I stayed here for 3 nights in January with a friend. The hotel was fine - nice and clean, daily maid service, quick check in, warm and comfortable, no problems, Swiss-style decor, etc. Hotel staff were pleasant. I've noticed many other comments about a strange smell - I too smelt this, I think it may have been fondue perhaps? The... more

A nice small hotel that is adequate for business and well located. Food was good, as was internet connection and staff. Room was a good size for Geneva. I would stay here again. more
