This is a very typical old style European hotel - tiny rooms, even tinier lift (once I was in with my suitcase it was full) and no aircon, which was pretty bad given that it was 30C when I was there. Opening the window to solve this was problematic as the hotel backs on to a very noisy carpark. The... more

I only booked this hotel because I was on a tight budget and central Geneva is a very expensive place. This hotel cost me EUR100 per night for a twin-bed room. This was, incidentally, the cheapest hotel in central Geneva (which offered a private bathroom). What I liked: 1. Location was convenient. Close to the train station and the lake.... more

Finding a hotel in Geneva is an expensive lottery. Is there a city in the world with more overpriced hotels? Best Western Strasbourg would probably not be up to standard in most cities, but in Geneva for this price bracket it may well be the best of a bad bunch. Rooms are older and quite basic, but definitely adequate. Service... more

Ideal! I couldnt think of anything more fitting this hotel. Located over the road from the main train station (Cornavin), it is superbly located near shops, bars, cafes, and restaurants. Over the road also from the fantastic bar 'Les Brasseurs' (great drinks and service). A short walk down the main street, and you find yourself at the rather stunning lake,... more

I was staying for three nights in Geneva and went for the Strasbourg & Univers as I was not too sure where the conference would be. So, I decided to go for the area around the train station and found a very good offer for this hotel. The single room was rather small and cramped but the bathroom positively surprised... more

I was part of 2 couples who stayed at this hotel. Yes! we do act our shoe size rather than our age. However I think this hotel is suitable for most people except those with limited mobility. The lift is the smallest I have ever seen. However the four of us did manage to squeeze in complete with ski wear... more

My other half and I stayed at this hotel from 14 - 18 Dec 2008. The basic purpose was to see a bit of Geneva and get away from the stress of work and Christmas!!! This was to our second trip to Switzerland (first time we stayed in Kandersteg for two weeks). The Hotel was really really nice. The staff... more

We stayed at this hotel for four nights and arrived early afternoon, no problem as room was ready. Friendly and efficient reception gave us free Geneva Transport pass without our even having to ask. Wouldn't recommend for disabled guests as lift very small. Our room (210) was spacious and quiet overlooking carpark and square at rear of hotel. Large bathroom,... more

Very conveniently situated. Near the lake, shops, bars and restaurants and very near the station. Good clean hotel. We were very happy with everything....however the reception manager although efficient could have been a bit more pleasant...other staff were lovely and the people in general were very warm. We loved Geneva.... more
