The Hotel Lido is close to the main railway station and is cheap for Geneva (but cheap in Geneva means expensive anywhere else!) Very clean, basic hotel in very central location a few hundred yards from rail station, and very convenient for lakeside area. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are not airconditioned and hotel is on busy city centre street, so traffic noise can be an issue if you have to have windows open
