We made a short overnight stay at this hotel. The location is right on the River Rhone at the heart of Geneva's business and banking centre, with short walking distances to restaurants and other entertainment. The room was clean and modern, large Plasma TV, functional shower, comfortable bed. Everything worked. The only problem was that they were refurbishing our floor... More

Excellent location, right next to the Rhone as it leaves Lake Geneva. The room was small, divided into a tiny livingroom (see pic) and a bedroom that was only very slightly larger than the bed that filled it. Strangely, the room had two bathrooms. Nice keys (see pic). Overall the quality of the room and fittings were good (interesting little... More

2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2007

Stayed for four nights mid-July. Room was "compact" at best; cleaners didn't empty the bin every day. Couldn't turn the aircon off; but at least the room had airconditioning - not common in Geneva! Safe didn't work, but was fixed (needed a new battery) the day after I arrived - reception can't get anything done after about 6 p.m. Everything... More

The Hotel Ambassador has an excellent location fronting the Rhone with a lovely view of the bridges and the Alps beyond. My room (213) was quite small but very clean and serviceable. Its floor-to-ceiling French doors opened inward and provided a great view of the activity on the street below. The hotel was very quiet with helpful, tri-lingual front desk... More

I staid at the Hotel Ambassador in February of this year and it was dreadful. Someone should let these people know that it is no longer the 1960's and their version of it is terribly drab indead. The staff were courteous if not a little stuck up at times. The rooms are TINY recently refurbished to the lowest standard. Old... More

I stayed for one night at this hotel conveniently located by the lake, not far from railway station. Its' biggest advantages are location and moderate price. The room itself was tidy but tiny. Breakfast not bad but fairly expensive (not included in the price).
