Excellent location, right next to the Rhone as it leaves Lake Geneva. Stayed for four nights mid-July. Room was "compact" at best; cleaners didn't empty the bin every day. Couldn't turn the aircon off; but at least the room had airconditioning - not common in Geneva! Safe didn't work, but was fixed (needed a new battery) the day after I arrived - reception can't get anything done after about 6 p.m. Everything... more

The Hotel Ambassador has an excellent location fronting the Rhone with a lovely view of the bridges and the Alps beyond. My room (213) was quite small but very clean and serviceable. I staid at the Hotel Ambassador in February of this year and it was dreadful. Someone should let these people know that it is no longer the 1960's and their version of it is terribly drab indead. I stayed for one night at this hotel conveniently located by the lake, not far from railway station. Its' biggest advantages are location and moderate price. The room itself was tidy but tiny. Breakfast not bad but fairly expensive (not included in the price). more
