Everything I could want for a business trip. Modern, calm room with lovely views, comfortable and stylish bar, brilliant Indian restaurant, and extremely helpful staff. Possibly a little expensive and slightly distant from the centre for a family holiday, but perfect for business more

I had stayed in the Mandarin in Hong Kong before, and knew that this chain was top quality, so I couldn't believe my luck when I got a very reasonable rate - 3 nights for the price of 2. When I arrived the receptionist greeted me by name and offered me a glass of champagne while they completed registration. She... more

We stayed at the Mandarin Oriential for a night on our way back home to the US after a ski vacation. The room was spacious and well-appointed, the food delicious, and the service was almost flawless. The renovations mentioned by previous reviewers appear to have been completed, and the rooms were modern, quiet, and tastefully decorated. The staff were friendly... more

My wife and I are just back from a 3 night stay in the Mandarin Oriental in Geneva, Switzerland, and as usual the hotel chain continues to stay number one on our list of favourites. We arrived on New Years day for a short break, and chose the Mandarin based on our own personal experiences with the chain. It had... more

We had a marvellous six-day stay on Christmas time at this wonderful hotel. Very atmospheric, superb and extremely professional and friendly staff, excellent location in the centre of the city but still quite convenient for our car. They couldn't do more to please us. We received four presents, plus various other treats like free champagne and vin brulé. The rate... more

Let me give you all the points that i have for the mandarin which i stayed in this october for 4 nights.... 1- The hotel building is Old and the Furniture of the rooms looks like they are from the late 80's or early 90's and the only place that are newly renovated are the Ground Floor ONLY!! So, don't... more

Where do I begin? An excellent brand, an excellent location, 1st class service from check-in to check out. I ventured from my usual Accor hotels to try this hotel- I had been to Geneva on 3 previous occasions but had never stayed at this hotel. The hotel is superb, the location is superb, the customer service unparalleled. It was so... more

Stayed there during the Car show. Very nice and sleek hotel with great rooms. Its just a little bit more bussiness than anything else. I wouldnt come here for a romantic getaway that is for sure. The location is not ideal, it is pretty far from anything. You can expect all the features of a classic 5 star hotel, just... more

My husband and I spent 3d/2n here. By north american standards, Geneva is a fairly pricey city to travel through and the hotels are no exception. They are currently undergoing renovation and is likely the reason for our slightly discounted rate. The Good: -immaculate room, with plenty of space -plentiful Molton Brown toiletries -comfortable bed and pillow menu -free 750... more

The Mandarin in Geneva is being renovated as of late April 2007 -- avoid this hotel until it is complete, and maybe avoid it then too! The staff is stellar and the best I have encountered outside of Hong Kong at any five-star. But the building lets them down terribly. It's a cheap 1960s era block with windows that allow... more
