A relatively old and very basic hotel, but it comes at a very attractive price. Rooms on one side tend to be quite noisy when you open the window. The great plus of this hotel are the very friendly staff, and the excellent breakfast (very simple, yet of very high quality - real food, fully organic). Not for a romantic... More

The hotels in Bern are very expensive and the city is really lacking nice, mid-priced hotels. That said, this hotel was one of the cheaper hotels (though not actually so cheap, we paid around 180CHF/double room). This hotel is NOT what they are claiming to be on their website. We've booked an apartment with a kitchenette - it turned out it didn't even have a microwave! Very small rooms, extremely outdated furniture, no blow dryer (you can get one at the reception though), no iron, nothing. And all this for the price of 220 CH/night!! Internet... More
