I did a review on another EasyHotel I stayed at, in Switzerland. Likewise, the rooms are tiny, bumping into the walls and bed frames easily, repeatedly - not recommended for bigger people or those travelling in a large group. Rooms were clean otherwise, though I was not a fan of the wet rooms. On a positive note, they do have... More

Don't stay here!!! For a few francs more the Dorint hotel (up the road) is much better value with "normal" hotel services. The easyHotel, has no services or lift, is like a backpackers youth hostel at hotel prices and the rooms are like the primitive Etap or Formulae E hotels of the 90's with a plastic enclosure for a shower.... We stayed at the hotel for a 2 night weekend break. Taking the number 50 bus into the centre from the airport, it was around a 25 minute walk from the station. Check-in was swift and easy. You don't get a key but a printout of your booking with a numeric code to access your room. The room itself was... More

We stayed in a windowless room (which we knew about it going in) for one night. The room was very small, very contemporary with orange accents, tiny but adequate bath/shower, good bed and wifi. If you want all the bells and whistles, this might not be the place for you, but it was very adequate for what we wanted and... More

Walking distance 10-15min from the Basel Badischer Bahnhof station (served by Deutche Bahn). Staff friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Bonus was a 2 day tram pass for our one night stay. Room was compact, clean, bed comfortable. Bathroom with shower was small but adequate with hair dryer. Located less than 100 m from a tram stop, very easy to learn the... More

A last minute booking as Basel was full! I usually stay in better places, but I'm not averse to going budget now and again. Quite often you find that budget hotels are surprisingly innovative and cheerful in their simplicity. The easy hotel is so heavy handed in its cheapness that I'm sure there are prison cells that are better appointed.... More

This is an excellent hotel at the cheaper end of the market. The rooms are very clean but basic. Shower was hot, bed comfortable and very quiet. There is a good restaurant attached to the hotel. The hotel is opposite the Musical Theater Basel, handy if you are planning to see a show. There are many excellent cafes on the... More

Basel is expensive and this hotel was very cheap in comparison to other hotels in the area. We needed somewhere to crash for one night so I wasn't too bothered about not having a window etc. I was pleasantly surprised and would stay again and for longer. Not having a window was actually ok and made the room very quiet... More

I have stayed in a few Easyhotels before and so far the Basel one has been one of the best as the room came with free wifi, tram pass, which can be used to and from the airport and luggage storage. The size of the room wasn't too bad. The location was good as tram stop was just outside the... More

Dear EuropeanCookie Thank you very much for your stay at the easyHotel and the positive comment. Regarding the restauarants. There are some restaurants in the region including the Steakhouse 800° which is the hotel building. For any further information the reception desk is open 24 hrs. The staff of the hotel is happy to help you with any further information.... More

Perfectly located and easy to find. Rooms are compact but contain everything that you could possibly need for a brief stop in Basel. An added bonus is the free pass for the transport. No A/C so slept with the window open, which I found quite loud as the morning traffic got busier.
