As others have noted, this hotel is located just on the edge of the old part of the city. The hallways are indeed confusing but this is because the hotel is made up of several buildings. Hotel Rochat is well-located on the edge of the historic center of Basel, within easy walking distance to most sites. The exterior of the building is beautiful ,in a 19th-century style. My room was small and basic but spotless and very quiet. It's pretty inexpensive, so it's a good deal and I'd be happy to stay there again. more
