As I planned my trip to Basel in Zurich I thought finally some reasonably priced hotels. This one was slightly cheaper but claimed 3 stars and I knew the location was good near Dorint and Swissotel Hotels just opposite Messe Basel. Also just 5mins by tram to old town which was no problem. But the hotel itself... I can normally... More

This hotel is ideally situated next to Messe Basel and in walking distance from the old town. You get there very easily within 10 minutes from the train station by tram. (Note: you receive a Mobility Card when checking into any hotel in Basel, which covers all trips by public transport. A great service, more hotels and cities should adopt!!!)... More

I was there because Dorint was overbooked and very expensive. The room I got was in the highest floor and I had a balcony outside viewing the fir building. It was Ok, the staff in the reception was very helpful and the day we were leaving very earlier in the morning we could order some snacks and yogurt as breakfast.... More

Making a booking online for this hotel during the week of Basel World turned out to be a disaster. The price was so high we thought it was for the entire week - but it turned out it was per day. We cancelled the booking 10 minutes later when realizing that we had done a huge mistake. Our fault of... More

When you are travelling in Switzerland you have to be with the mined set that everything is expensive (compared to Northamerican standards). This hotel though is really not offering much for the prices they charge (300+ CAD $ per night). I was booked in a "superior" room. When I heard that I am on the ground (street level) floor I... I went there 2 times. The first time I got a superior room and the room was quite small, with a small tv, with a very bad internet and expensive. The second time I got a standard room and it was double the first one, had a huge flat TV with more channels of the first one and a wonderful... More

17 euro is a lot when you only want a cup of coffee and a bagel, even in Eu. Other than that, a VG hotel. Staff was very friendly and gave us a fan. Our room in the back of the hotel wasn't AC. Very nice restraunts when you turn right out of the hotel. As mentioned by other reviewers,... More

Only spent two nights here as a stop over at the start of our holiday. The hotel is basic and is fine for a few nights stay as it is a little out of the way of the main area. The tram stops less than 5 mins walk away and will take you into the main part of town /... More
