From August 26th to 29th, 2014, my wife and I, and also a party of 8 others stayed for two nights at this hotel. We have been to Europe on numerous other occasions, and this quaint hotel, is without a doubt the best hotel we have stayed at to date. I can't say enough about how courteous and friendly, and... This hotel is located in the heart of the old town in Basel, perfectly accessible to all the sites. The room is simple and relatively small, but convenient. A nice touch is the Nespresso machine in the room. The shower room was small but convenient and clean. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of made to order eggs, amazing butter... More

We stayed here over the August bank holiday for 3 nights. The hotel is very central on tram line 3. Within easy walking distance to the centre and about 20 minutes to the rail station although there are plenty of trams going there too. We were given a room at the top of the building which we had specifically requested,... More

This hotel is ideally situated within walking distance of the city centre. The No.3 trams stops right outside. If arriving by train at Basle get the No.11 ti Aschenplatz, one stop, and change there for the number 3. The rooms are sparsely furnished, but clean as is the bed and linen. There are only net curtains at the windows but... More

When booking, we reserved 2 rooms, since we would be 2 adults and 2 kids (7 & 8 y). Once arrived, the hotel could not give 2 rooms in the same building. The receptionist spontaneously offered us a larger room, where all 4 of us could sleep, and only charged 1 regular room. We had a fabulous diner at the... More

My 3 week stay in Basel during Feb was thoroughly enjoyable thanks to Teufelhof. The staff was very warm and friendly, happy to help anytime. I looked forward to breakfast each day so I could chat with the staff who became friends. The location is fantastic. Just a 3 min walk to Barfi tram stop, where all the action is.... More

This hotel is located in the old town, near many of the important attractions of Basel. It is near several tram lines, to allow for easy access to the museums and other attractions. Our rooms were amazingly spacious and well-appointed. A nice touch was the Nespresso machine, bottled water (still and sparkling) and the included breakfast. Combined with great service... More

Interesting 'Art' hotel in the old town part of Basel, close to many restaurants and boutique shops. Within walking district of the key areas of the city and the river Rhine. On a tram route (no 3) but to get to most of the other key tram routes you have to walk about 1/4 mile. Good news is that hotels... More

Its hard to know where to start. Standard check out is 12pm (this is guge for a European 3 star) .. on the weekends you can grab breakfast til 13:00. Every guest gets free public transport tickets in the city for the duration of the stay ... location is as central as it gets but the rooms are quiet, look... More
