Good for business really. Best to stay in the bigger rooms in the main building not the "Residence" extension. Good breakfast but overall an expensive hotel with little real character.

Just across street from Basel main train/bus station, with free day bus ticket excellent to explore Basel for business and it's museums and other leisure activities. Hotel of our first choice in Basel whenever we return for the past years. (See photos for it's design)

Rather bleak ambience and impersonal feel, but I suppose that's to be expected for a functional business hotel opposite the main station. I stayed in the "Residence" rooms at the back. For ventilation, the choice was to leave open a small door opening onto a enclosed courtyard or to use a niosy, free-standing air-con machine

I received an upgrade to a top floor room (5th floor) overlooking the train station. Automatic curtains, fancy and stylish furniture, and lots of space made this a very lovely stay. The smaller rooms at this hotel are very bare, but the upgraded room was fantastic.
