Location is excellent, walking distance to the main train station and trams. When you check in there is a "mobility pass" as part of your welcome package in your name that gives you free travel on all trams, buses and other forms of public transport around the area, including to Basel airport. All hotels in Basel offer the same. Rooms... More

Considering the high cost of living in Basel, this hotel was what my budget could afford and I made a good choice. The room was clean, "spacious" and modern. There is a kettle, Nespresso machine, fridge and TV available. The hotel is about 2 kms away from the Basel SBB main station and this station is also a great gem... More

I stayed in this hotel for few nights on a business trip. I had a single room and it was very spacious, clean and nice. The bed was small but comfortable. The bathroom was also quite big and clean. I had a fridge in the room and also water heater and some tea bags. The location is very good, near... More

Radiator piping hot with no control to turn it down. A messy entrance due to lack of staffing. I agree that this is not really what constitutes a hotel, more just a block of apartments. The room itself is immaculate and simple but I'm glad it is for only one night. Too warm in here.

This is a basic no frills hotel. Receptionist was helpful and friendly. The accommodation was very clean and acceptable. Easy to use local metro system with which you receive a free pass on arrival. I would use again but for no more than 2 nights. Wifi perfect.

I have stayed several times when working in Basel (booked by my company) and I can't say more than it is 'OK'. It certainly doesn't have the hotel feel about it, especially if you arrive out of hours. The rooms are clean and a decent size, but they are very basic - I am never in a rush to get... More

The "Apalivin" word conveys an image of "apart-hotel", but I was not convinced. It is more "budget" hotel. The 2 receptionists were not welcoming and seemed annoyed at being disturbed when I approached the front desk. They never greeted me first or made me feel at home. They queen bed is a double bed, there was no microwave to heat... More

Having read a few negative reviews on here, we weren't too sure how it would go at Apaliving. Luckily we did our homework - mainly thanks to fellow Trip Advisors' reviews - and sorted out our Door & Room codes before we arrived, so no hassles during check in. The Hotel is more like an apartment block and I think... More

Considering most motels and hotels near the SBB rail station are CHF200 or more, this was a steal. I traveled alone and found the room to be perfectly adequate. Sure, the TV is small and only has one English Channel. Sure there's no AC. But the hotel is within walking distance to SBB, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. 2 tram stations... More

It was a nice stay on the apartments as it was very near to the railway station. I find it slightly over-priced but when you take everything like distance, location, transport etc in consideration then it is a fairly good deal. Rooms are nice and spacious. Staff is also very helpful. There have this process of check-in before certain time... More
