My husband and I stopped in Basel on our way down to Italy. We needed something close to the train station where we could get a good night's sleep and breakfast in the morning. The hostel is right behind the main railway station in Basle. Our abiding memory of the place is trains on metal wheels screeching on steel rails throughout the night.
