Two smart ways to make a very basic travelers' hotel more appealing, and both satisfying rather than disappointing: 1) decor, names, furniture, room labels all refer to chocolate and indirectly to Etruscans. Would be moot or foolish, manages to make very good sense as the hotel has a very nice and well stocked shop for chocolate-based items and presents 2)... more

This hotel is disappointing. It is not close enough to the train/bus station for a comfortable walk and it is nowhere near to the centre of town which is a AUD$20+ taxi ride away. Apart from the free bar of chocolate on arrival (between two people), the internet doesn't reach the rooms, the hotel is gloomy and dull with ugly... more

The Chocohotel was very friendly, and had all the conveniences and mod cons of a business hotel. Also very convenient to the station, if that's what you're after. Is a bit of an up-hill hike into the old town, and while not too far (maybe 15 mins), for my purposes I would have prefered to be right in the centre,... more

I really appreciated this hotel!!! The building isn't so charming from the outside, but inside you have a choco-experience that you'll not forget. The staff is very friendly and helpful regarding informations about bus, the city and so on, and you'll have a choco tablet on your arrival according to the level in which you're staying (milk, nuts, black). The... more

The hotel looks like it belongs to a large chain and so the decor and rooms are fairly bland. However you feel when staying here that they have tried to make an effort to give it a bit of style - from the bar of chocolate at check-in to the choice of having chocolate at breakfast. There is also free... more

The only positive about this hotel was that the staff was cordial when we told them that we wanted to cancel our remaining reservation after one very uncomfortable night there. The location of this place in not close to the historic part of town. We switched to the elelgant Sangallo Palace Hotel - which gave us a lower rate than... more

Chocolate is everywhere in this nice hotel. When you fetch your room keys at the concierge you are gifted with a chocolate tablet, if you ask the staff you can change your milk or haleznuts tablet with a pure black choco one (a must). The hotel has three floors first is milk-floor (al latte), then come chestnuts-floor (gianduia) and last... more
