This is the perfect spot for visitors for Umbria Jazz. An easy walk to the stages, a lovely and comfortable hotel with very nice staff adds up to a really nice overall experience. The only reasons I didn't give the hotel 5 stars is because there are stairs through the hotel that makes it a bit of a challenge with... More

Beautiful hotel - an old building with all mod cons, right in the heart of old Perugia, at the top right off the main square. Great for walking around Perugia and retreating back to your hotel for a rest, then venturing out again. Loved escaping the heat in the coolness of the medieval room and looking out the bedroom window... More

Perugia is an astonishing city. An unusual Italian town in the sense of being full of antiquity but also modern. It is also incredibly hot in the summer months. After walking the town and visiting the National Mueum we needed lunch. Tucked away in a small, shaded and cool square is the terrace of this hotel - serving lunch. We... More

Perugia is an incredible stop - don't miss it! At the top of a fortress, you drive down the hill to park (not allowed on top) and come back up through a series of escalators 'inside the hill.' It foretells a truly neat town teeming with life. Walk through the town and around all the corners and nooks and stop... More

Historic building in central Perugia, but the stained carpets and plastic cups and bent wire hangers look more like a one star hotel:( The TV is tiny and difficult to operate. The breakfast is abominable! Recetionists dread any questions and dont like their job-sad and it shows. Could be really deserve the self awarded four stars (should be two),saving grace... More

Well located to public transport - buses and escalator to lower town- and all the sights in the hill town, this was a delightful hotel for our 3 night stay. Very large room and large bathroom, we were on 1st floor and overlooked Piazza Italia. Room was well maintained, they are not modern but quite charming. There was a little... More

Not a modern luxury hotel. But rather a charming family owned hotel with beautiful detail and a rich history. Just ask 3rd generation owner Livinia, the granddaughter of the original owner. Breakfast included. Make sure if your visit is in July to book a room with air-conditioning; as it can be brutally hot.

This was one of my favourite stays in Italy, on the hill in Perugia. This hotel has everything you could need. Service, food, ambiance, it was terrific. The best thing for me was the huge room, with a king size bed and a couch and a writing desk and french doors. Room to relax in! The bathroom was old but... More

Not a bad hotel which obviously used to be quite grand. Rooms are huge though it's a shame there is no kettle in the room as there was no where staffed in the hotel to get a cup of coffee or tea after breakfast. Breakfast is poor though staff were friendly. The restaurant never seems to be open, perhaps that's... More

Great spot in the historic centre of the City. Hotel is showing its 90 years of age in places but has an old fashioned charm for all that. Good breakfast buffet and attentive Reception staff. All in all a good value stay.
