My husband and I were determined to avoid big towns during this, our second, trip to Italy. Found this on trip advisor and thought it looked perfect... My husband and i stayed here for a week late June. The staff were always helpful. Not too many spoke English but were always willing to try to help understand! We visited this hotel in May, 2012, and were assigned to one of the detached apartments down a pathway from the main castle building. Our first visit to Castello Cortevecchio was in 2005. Our second visit mid May, 2012 brought back fond memories. It gives one the sensation of being in a forest....really beautiful and wonderful to wake up to the birds singing in the early morning!! The room we had was large, clean and comfortable.
