Gubbio is a delightful town and Hotel Gattapone only added to our pleasure in traveling there. It's an unusually intimate hotel and the staff is exceptionally pleasant. Yes, it is near a church and the bells ring throughout the night, but unless you're a very light sleeper, the bells just add to the ambiance of a charming hotel in a... More

Well located and renovated hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Can only say it carries my unequivocal recommendation.why do I need to use 200 characters when one word "excellent" says it all!

We spent two nights at the Gattapone. It is a delightful hotel in the charming town of Gubbio. The hotel is easy to find and parking is easily arranged at the nearby parking lot. We visited in November, a quiet, albeit a little cold with even a little snow. The staff was all very friendly..little English spoken, but they were... More

Situated in a lovely medieval town of Gubbio. Clean room, clean toilet, clean hotel...all clean. The staffs are so friendly and you quickly feel at home. The lady at the reception, I think the owner also, did not speak English but you will be surprised how she treats the guests and helps you out with everything that comes to your... More

Perfectly situated for exploring the delightful town of Gubbio. Our room was on the small side but had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good - lots of variety. Staff were helpful. We parked at the Roman theatre on the outskirts of town. Parking there is free, and it's a five-ten minute walk to the hotel.... More

First, be mindful no internet map does justice to the complexities of finding locations in Italy, especially medieval towns. Gattapone is relatively easy to find, and you may off-load at or near the door. Then it's 100 m to the parking, which is 8 euro/day and must be paid at the information center up the street; the machine will over-charge.... More

Little hotel located in a middle age structure in the center of Gubbio. Very pleasant stay with excellent location in the center of town. Very good hosting, a good breakfast with very friendly treatment. Nice common areas, clean and confortable rooms but quite little. We had a corner room, (374) very little but pleasant with sight on church and open... More

I'm just back from Gubbio, and even if the weather was terrible (raining....for three days!) I had a wanderfull experience at Hotel Gattapone. First we book a special offer (available on their website) that was very convenient, OK in Italy november is the off-season..but even in this case I've spent just 167€ a head for 2 nights and 2 dinners. The... More

Nice small hotel in the old town. We had Suite 256, one of two in the hotel, large bedroom and sitting room strangely with an exercise bicycle but no second TV. Did not matter, as no English stations..a downer but the free wi-fi is great and a nice continental brekkie included. Parking about 100 yards away advertised at 8 euro... More

We had a corner room, over the front entrance -- which was beautiful. The room was small but very nice. The breakfast was fine. Service was very good. They stored our bikes for us in their garden, and were very accommodating. And the price was good.
