When I booked this hotel I knew it looked beautiful but was amazed at how huge and gorgeous our rooms were. Our party had booked the two suites upstairs. The ceilings are painted, the walls are high and the rooms are works of art. Our only regret was that we had only planned to stay here one night on our... More

We have stayed in many Italian hotels over twenty years of travel. We bring our Arts Sojourn painting group to Hotel Bosone Palace. We have enjoyed each and every stay. We get good reviews from our group participants. The hotel has a very professional and cordial staff.

This hotel was a real delight. Right in the heart of the old town, the building is beautiful being a former palace & the breakfast room is stunning! We loved our room - very spacious & we even had a separate sitting room. The staff were very friendly & the room was cheap which made it even better - under... More

We stumbled on this hotel by accident and ended up staying 3 nights. The breakfast room is divine, walls covered in frescoes, it is right in the centre of town, fabulous restaurant just down the steps, helpful and friendly staff. I needed to see a dentist, they arranged an appointment, took me there, translated for me, brought me back -... More

My wife and I arrived with no booking and were shown to a large clean beddoomwith sitting room attached for €100 including breakfast. The staff were friendly and efficient. The lift works. They suggested we dine at an associated restauranr around the corner and down some steps where we had afull banquetby way of a truffle tasting fixed price menu.... More

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Always helpful and knowledgeable. Hotel great, frescoed, and convenient for the town. Grand staircase, most impressive. Hotel is easy to reach, when you have mastered that free parking is only 300 metres away, and there is a lift which will take you up and down the hill. Breakfast could do with a... More

We made a prepaid internet reservation for the Hotel Bosone Palace in January 2013. We received a confirmation e-mail from the hotel immediately and got no further communication from them. However, when we arrived on the day of our reservation (after having great difficulty figuring out how to get to the hotel), we found a sign on the door saying... More

From the moment of our arrival until the minute of departure the Hotel Bosone Palace did not disappoint. From the friendly English speaking staff to the ambiance and decor of the hotel we felt as if we could stay a lifetime! The walled town of Gubbio was filled with wonderful restaurants such as the Taverna del Lupo and shops. This... More

Gubbio is one of Umbria's most rewarding tourist destinations, and the Palace Hotel Bosone is a clear winner among a handful of city hotels. Located just yards aways from the Piazza Grande, and only 300 meters from the bus terminus (to Perugia and Fossato di Vico), the Bosone has provided hospitality for generations, and boasts such distinguished guests as opera... During our 12 trips to Italy, we have stayed at many restored Italian palazzo hotels - Palazzo Magnani Feroni, Palazzo Tucci, Palazzo Dragoni, Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo, Palazzo Stern, Palazzo Paruta, Residenza del Moro - just to name a few that came to mind. But none of the suites that we have stayed in those Palazzos have frescoes like the... More
