We stayed at Bellaugello for 3 days after our Med cruise. It is a beautiful house with extraordinary views. Alec is a fantastic host. The meals are excellent. We loved it and would definitely stay again. More

Before we arrived at Bellaugello, my partner and I had never been to a gay holiday resort before and were initially hesitant as we were not sure of what to expect. Having been at the guest house for only a few moments we were greeted by the welcoming charm of Alec and Francesco. As we made our way to our... More

This was our second visit to Bellaugello, so we knew what to expect. But even so it was beyond expectations. The owner is a perfect host and a great cook, the rooms are clean and beautifully decorated, the location offers great views and tranquillity. Breakfast is served at a large table in the dining room, where you meet the other... More

We travel to Italy at least once every year and have done so for the past 14 years. We've visited 13 of the 20 regions of the country. We love Italy and have some sense of its light as well as dark sides. We spent Easter weekend at Bellaugello in Umbria not too far from Gubbio. Alec, the proprietor, was... More

When traveling with my partner for nearly a month all over Italy, we where looking for the true Italian experience. It all happened at Bellaugello. Great location, postcard views, the most wonderful bedding on the whole trip. I was trilled to find a large tub for soaking and the host, Alec was exceptional. Since I am in the lodging business,... Our time in Bellaugello last month was in the midst of our three-week visit to Italy. It was my first trip to Italy and my partner wanted to show me as much of the country as we could in that time, leaving us very busy with travel and traffic, driving thru the Italian countrysides! So, Bellaugello was literally an oasis... More

Bellaugello is one of the faboulus guest-houses I stayed in the last 12 years. Between Perugia et Gubbio, the place is just great. Rooms are all different with a real taste for decoration. The garden smells lavander, rosemary and sauge... The view from the terrace is huge... And Alec, our host, just perfect ! More

Booked this B and B from the web site so not too sure what were we getting, just knew it was a remote location in the hills of Umbira. But it turned out to be a wonderful surprise and a highlight of our trip and a place I will dream about returning to. Rented a car in Perugia and in... More

I booked this self-catering BB on the recommendation of a friend, for my last 3 nights in Italy and after a week in the Tuscan countryside. Admittedly, I was a little unsettled as my son and I drove down the country path in the midst of rolling hills and few homes. So the surprise, upon arriving just around sunset was... More

This place is quite unbelievable: Set on a hillside facing south towards Assisi, completely peaceful and quiet, yet only 2.5 miles off the main road between Perugia and Gubbio, with flights to Perugia, Ancona, Rome and Pisa. If you want to explore Umbria, a most beautiful region of Italy, with the delights of Assisi and hill towns such as Gubbio... More
