My wife had injured her back on our way to Assisi, and the staff at Hotel Minerva went out of their way to assist her and make her comfortable. The first time we ate in the restaurant, the staff realized my wife was uncomfortable and immediately brought cushions to help her. After that meal, every time we arrived in the... More

Great hotel just inside town wall above Piazza Giovanni Paolo II parking garage, and near Basilica. Clean, comfortable room, very quiet, good breakfast, great value. Central Assisi is a half mile or so walk uphill through this beautiful town.

Extremely friendly staff, quaint, beautiful lobby and breakfast room, very spacious rooms compared to our hotel in Rome, superb view, excellent location, the best breakfast we had in Italy. A/C worked great, and though a very old building, the interior was updated and felt new and very clean. I cannot believe how lovely this place is for a 2 star... More

I ate lunch at the Hotel's restaurant on a trip in April. The pork was fabulous. The restaurant was not prepared for a lunch time crowd. I went with two other people and just ahead of the rush. Another table did not get their meals, somehow their orders were skipped. Seemed chaotic and unorganized.

When you book a room in a two star hotel, you normally understand that it isn't The Waldorf. This wasn't either. But the rooms were more then big enough for our family of four ( included two teenage girls ), it was clean, the staff was nice and the breakfast simple and good. The location could not have been better.... More

We stayed three nights in June 2014 at this wonderful no-frills, budget hotel in the heart of Assisi, just a short walk from the main bus station. The staff is stupendous, helpful, courteous and friendly. The air-conditioned equipped rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. Huge bathroom, with crescent-shaped shower. No mini-bar or in-room safe. WiFi in the hotel lobby is... More

We booked one night at Albergo Minerva. The location was perfect just a short walk away from Basilica of San Francisco. We got a room over looking Umbria with an amazing view. We slept with the window opened and you can smell freshness in the morning not to mention the birds singing in the morning. The hotel is very much... More

My wife and I stayed here for a night during our recent trip to Assisi. We found the hotel to be clean and nice and everything that we needed for our stay. The lady at the front desk was helpful, even with our limited English, and she recommended a walk in the upper parts of the town that was perfect... More

The location of the hotel is good though difficult to find even using a GPS but otherwise I feel it lacked a lot. We stayed there on Easter Saturday to Sunday. The welcome was just ok. The room stank and was too narrow for the four of us. We had to ask for shower caps because there were none in... More

Hotel Minerva came right up to expectation: when you get off the bus from the station (first stop) walk just 200 metres up the road and there is the hotel right in front of you. Beautiful setting, spacious room with something of a view across the valley. Large bathroom (no bath but adequate shower). Unfortunately the shoer cubicle didn't have... More
