Hotel has very nice views of Umbrian countryside. Rooms are nicely decorated and clean (but a bit on the small side). Staff is generally helpful. If you're planning to do the Assisi sights, I only recommend staying here if you have a car, plan on paying for a taxi, or if you are a hard-core hiker/walker! Previous reviews I read... more
This is a gem of a hotel. It is lovingly run by a family for whom nothing is too much trouble. It is spotlessly clean and recently refurbished (2006) Our room had a panoramic view which gave us a wonderful view of the valley with the outline of Assisi in view. We stayed at the hotel Viole Assisi for two weeks in june. The hotel was beautiful and very clean, our room had great views, a large bathroom with views. the food was fantastic gave us a taste of umbrian cooking with a good choice of menu.The owners and staff could not do enough for us and Elio was always ready... more
