I had been reading Rebecca's blog and other writings for several years and finally had a chance to stay at Brigolante for a week in late June/early July this year. Our stay was all that we had hoped for. We were in La Loggetta, which was more space than we needed for just the two of us, but it was... More

An absolutely wonderful place to stay. Quiet and just 6 kilometers from Assisi, Brigolante is an excellent jumping off point to all parts of Umbria. Hiking, site seeing, restaurants, it's all an easy drive away. Rebecca is most helpful and you must try their cellar-made white wine. The garden was in full bloom and handpicked produce made it straight to... More

You feel you're out in the middle of the most remote countryside at Brigolante (I mean this as a compliment!) but in fact it's only an easy drive of 5 or 10 minutes from here down to the gorgeous little city of Assisi. Up at Brigolante, a farm set in the mountains, it's quiet and peaceful - a perfect place... More

We have stayed at Brigolante many times over the years. It has always been our happy respite from the chaos of the big city (Rome). Brigolante is idyllically situated in the Umbrian countryside, but conveniently located just a few kilometers from Assisi. The area is absolutely gorgeous and you won't tire of the views. Brigolante itself is a many generations... More

My husband and I spent a wonderful week at Brigolante this past Christmas (sorry the review is so late!). We stayed in La Stalletta, the smaller of the apartments, but it was plenty big for the two of us. The bathroom was twice the size of our bathroom at home and very updated and modern. As other reviewers have stated,... More

A very pleasant stay in one of the apartments - La Stalletta after a hectic 2 weeks of driving around Southern Tuscany. We received a warm and homely welcome from owner Rebecca with fresh free range eggs , home made wine which was exceptional one of the best we had had in Tuscany the previous 2 weeks, and yummy home... I've traveled to Italy four times since 1997, and every time I've stayed at Brigolante. Obviously I love Umbria -- the peacefulness, the beautiful rolling countryside, the gorgeous mountain towns to be explored -- and the reason I love Brigolante is because it provides the perfect venue to experience all of that. I've stayed in both La Loggetta and La... More

We booked here after finding Rebecca's blog. We visited with a 3 year old and a 5 month old. It is about 10 minutes out of Assisi, which is the closest town. We stayed in La Logetta which has a double bed in a separate bedroom, and two child-size cots. There is also a large bathroom with a soaker tub... More

A truly wonderful place to chill out or sightsee. This was our third visit - this time in Il Focolare (previous stays in La Stalletta) and still finding loads of things to do whilst at the same time offering a haven of tranquility at the end of every day. Rebecca is a fount of knowledge who is always on hand... More
