The hotel was clean and comfortable as expected. It was located at the bottom of the hill and in the center of activity being near the basilica and the tourist shops. The hotel food was awful. The room was sufficient and had a nice clean bathroom but the air conditioning was broken. The highlight was a bat flying around that... More

We stayed here with a group for three nights. The staff was not friendly nor helpful, and an argument broke out among the wait staff during our first dinner. Our dinner was rushed and unsatisfactory. We chose to eat elsewhere on the remaining nights. Although the location is great for visiting the Basilica, I would rather walk across Assisi than... More

We were on a tour with a large group......Although this place was absolutely beautiful and the location is great, the hotel rooms were plain and simple and very dark. They reminded me of a monestary. The air conditioning didn't work well in the 100 degree temps, the beds were like cots with slats at the bottom that were broken and... More

On our tour of Italy, we stayed one night at this hotel. Assisi was so calm and relaxing and the people and shop owners much friendlier than anywhere else we went in the country. This hotel was perfectly situated in the town for tourist walking. The view from our window of the surrounding countryside was beautiful. The room was small... More

Beautiful views, clean and tidy hotel. Hot showers and comfortable beds. Very close to all attractions. Walking distance but be aware lots of hilly roads. Older style hotel with standard size rooms. Wifi was not any good in room, needed to use foyer area. The tour I was with organised dinner here and the buffet dinner was very enjoyable. Lots... More

The hotel is beautiful, the location was great, the vistas overlooking the town and the valley below were just WOW, and the hotel is staffed with some of the nicest people. I was sad to leave. i enjoyed our room as it was very clean and comfy, and the view out of our window- OH MY GOSH! So beautiful. Go... More

Near the bus drop-off point and the underground parking, this hotel offers rooms with great views across the valley and is a short walk to the Basilicas of Saint Francis. We had stayed here before and did again in May. The location was the reason. We also like the rooms for their great views across the valley. Our room was... More

The hotel is beautiful, the staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are excellent and the food is gorgeous. What more could you ask for?! My experience of the area and the hotel is one that I will never forget!

The hotel is a short walk from the bus station making it very close and accessible for guests, with a stunning view to enjoy just outside the main entrance. The food was delicious and prepared very well, with very friendly staff and fast service. I found the rooms to be very spacious and clean, very good value for money! I'd... More

The name Windsor and Savoia aids in name association with much nicer hotels, but despite its epically notable location, the Hotel Windsor Savoia fails to live up to the lofty expectations set by the incredible scenery around it. And it is incredible. Windsor Savoia (and I’ll be copy/pasting that, full disclosure) is nestled at the point of an inclined switchback... More
