We stayed here one night as part of a tour. Older hotel with character. Rooms were good but very small bathrooms. Great views though from the hotel to the town below and to the Basilica of St. Francis. Convienent location from which to explore Assisi. We ate both breakfast and dinner here which were good. Would stay here again for... More

We stayed here one night on a Globus tour. Our room was small with a view of a brick wall outside the window. The bathroom has a step down which was not safe in the middle of the night. Was afraid I would forget the step and fall. The room had an old stand up closet that smelled. Would not... More

We stayed here as part of our Globus tour. We didn't have a great view from our room but we did see the best sunset from this location high on the side of the mountain. We had dinner as a group which was fine and enjoyed the gelato that was down from the hotel.

We stayed one night as part of our Globus Tour. Very nice. Our room was small but adequate. We didn't have a great view but that was okay. We had a dinner there with our group. It was good but not great. The location and views were fantastic.

My wife and I stayed at the Windsor June 10 as part of the Globus tour. The location and views are fantastic. Our room was on the smaller side, very outdated. The AC was basically non existent. The showers were extremely small as well. We had one dinner and breakfast there. The dinner was above average. The breakfast below average,... More

My husband and I stayed here one night while on a Globus tour of Italy. The hotel is very old, and the rooms are plain. It definitely has a spartan feeling of a convent or monastery, so it fit the setting perfectly. Some of the rooms had gorgeous views of the valley and city. The dinner that was served in... More

This hotel is in a great location. It is within walking distance to St Clare's Church and St Francis' Basilica. The view is breathtaking from the balconies. The area is peaceful and relaxing. The room was very clean and the staff pleasant. Breakfast was the usual European breakfast. The bar area was fun and nice to sit out on the... More

If you want a hotel within walking distance of everything in Siena, yet quiet and with an incredible view of the Tuscan countryside, a welcoming, helfpul, and friendly staff, and a great breakfast, stay here.

Location, location, location - next to Porta San Francesco and the main Unita D'Italia car park!! I stayed here 4 nights, Room 21, 29 Dec to 2 Jan 2014 at EUR70/night single incl BF (Bkg.com) - obviously over busy NYE period. I originally booked Hotel Minerva, almost across the road from HWS. When I arrived at Minerva, they allocated me... More
