Celebrated my birthday here with my two adult children. We found the hotel clean and well located for sightseeing in Assisi. Parking was free. Breakfast was lovely on the terrace overlooking the hillside, so quite and peaceful. Enjoyed our stay here.

Umbria is a less popular tourist destination than Tuscany but as the locals say, 'its silence is its charm.' When you look over the hilly terrain of Umbria from the terrace of Hotel Giotto you will be grateful that you are not overwhelmed by hordes of tourists that frequent Tuscany. For the most part, Assisi and the Hotel Giotto are... More

Friends suggested I get away from the city (Florence) for the weekend and get to Assisi. I made reservations for the Giotto online and got a very good rate which included a breakfast buffet. More on the buffet later. I took the Noon Regional train from Florence (2 1/2 hours, first class, no reserved seating but not crowded really) and... More

Stayed two nights while visiting Assisi and Perugia (45 min.away). Excellent location. We got lost coming into town and their reception person talked us through finally getting to the hotel. What a joy! A very rainy night meant we tried the hotel restaurant, which was good though deserted in late March...very nice server! Rooms quite comfortable, excellent shower. Breakfast is... More

It was a little hike to get to Hotel Giotto, but well worth it. It is in the heart of Assisi, the City of St. Francis & Clare. The views of Assisi were breathtaking and the hotel so charming! The dining room was in the lower level that resembled an ancient cave. The food was great, service wonderful and the... More

We reserved in Giotto Hotel with great excitement and expectations in view of all the great reviews. We stayed for 3 nights in a Junior Suite in the fifth floor. First the good things : Our room was spacious and comfortable for 3 persons. The bathroom looked recently renovated, was big , marble countertops with double sinks, and great rain... More

We spent 1 night at the hotel as part of a coach tour. Not only were we treated as individuals and not 'herded' as a group but were shown exemplary care and concern when one of our party landed up in hospital. The staff could not do enough for us- acted as translators, packed food packets for us, drove us... More

Quaint little hotel with refurbished rooms over looking the valley oner Assisi. Easy walking distance to all attractions. Room was small but functional and the bathroom was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast wad very limited as was dinner. Staff gave good wine choices. Assisi is a must to visit and would recommend this hotel.

We were given the suite on the 4th floor with a magnificent view of Assisi. Picture perfect beyond words. The hotel is fully equipped for your every need including an in-house spa. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. Luca carried all our huge luggages (4 in total) and 8 bags of shopping (we had arrived from the prada... More

Our room was clean and comfortable with an amazing view. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Hotel was easy to locate when we arrived in Assisi. Dinner was very good; but a bit expensive. Our waiter was very friendly and informative about what to see in the area. I requested a particular wine; and he said they had... More
