We loved this historic hotel. The room was huge by European standards and lovely with super view of the country side. Ask for Room 305. The air conditioning was also the best on the trip. Lovely 4 poster bed - great mattress. The owner was there the day we checked in and was very helpful. Breakfast was not extensive but... More

We were shown a brochure photo of the Hotel Palazzo that seemed just prefect. In fact so perfect that we were ready to be disappointed with what we were actually given. This was not the case. For a reasonable cost, we stayed in a Suite, with a wonderful atmosphere, complete with very high coffered ceiling with an old fresco. A... More

A sensational view over the valley from this lovely hotel. The reading lounge was a nice touch. The room was small but well appointed. The breeze through the window at night was delightful. Breakfast was the best of our trip. Cereal, toaster, yoghurts, meats etc. An excellent selection. Service was very good. Definitely recommended.

Hotel Il Palazzo is a wonderful hotel. The hosts are so friendly. The breakfast was good. But the highlight was the room and especially the view over the valley - absolutely stunning! The room was spacious and it is in a great location only a minute from the Basilica San Francesco. We will definitely stay again next time we visit... More

I stayed at the Hotel Il Palazzo for a few nights in early June. The staff led by Sylvio, whose family goes back 400 years there, were warm and welcoming. I had the Suite which has a high, frescoed ceiling, and magical views out over the valley toward Santa Maria Degli Angeli. The suite has a large and lovely bathroom... More

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel II Palazzo. It is up on the hill so we did need to drive up to drop off luggage. From there we parked our car at the bottom of the city in the public parking. The building is amazing and they did a nice job of keep the authentic feel of the building through... More

We stayed here a while back, and I have been meaning to review this GREAT find in the center of the old town. Built into the side of the hill, it is clean, cool, and gives you unbelievable views of the whole valley...We stayed in a corner room 303 (there is an elevator) and we had a 270 degree view... More

Location was very central to all the sightseeing venues. Continental breakfast did include chicolate croissants & real espresso which were a treat. You need to take a cab at the traîn station to hotel 15€ especially if you have luggage. We took two nuns with us going to the monastery. There is a bus but bus stop still a bit... More

This was my second visit to the Il Palazzo and again I had a room on the third floor with an amazing view of the Umbrian valley below. The room is basic, but the view from the French doors is nothing less than spectacular. The sunsets and the night views are amazing. The accommodations are good, bathrooms large and amenities...
