We stayed here for 2 nights. On arrival we were allocated a small, shabby room with missing fittings and fixtures in the bathroom. This was our second trip to Assisi and our second stay at the Hotel Subasio. We chose the Hotel Subasio because it is the closest to the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi. The rooms are large and clean. We had a balcony with breathtaking views of the valley. more

If you want to be adjacent to the Basilica, this is the place. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere. Assisi is a pretty big hilltop town, and Hotel Subasio is at the bottom, so every time you want to go "uptown", it is a hike and long journey.
