Unless the Carpediem has really gone down hill in recent years, it's really not a bad property. The problem comes when guests think they are going to be near Assisi. They're not. RCI Exchange...We found our 1 bedroom apartment very clean, with SKY TV channels in English, daily maid service, and only a 7 minute drive into Assisi. The warned mandatory club expense was NOT applied since we didn't use any of the services. We got this place by RCI. I've never had an experience like this, a very filthy appartment, nothing works, no kitchen towels, airco doesn't work, safe don't work, showerhead is not fixed, you can't believe this, you must pay for the pool, for a deskchair, for an umbrella, unbelievable, when you ask for repair, nothing happens, its old, theirs nothing... more

Staff unhelpful, air conditioning didn't work - no attempt to repair or apologise. Room decor and furnishings tired and old. Grounds, paths and walkways filthy and unkempt. Altogether a very poor resort with uncaring staff and no visible managment. Do not go there would be my advice. more

We (family of four) stayed in Carpediem at Sept. 2005 What is good: rooms are perfect, suits (actually apartments) are large, perfectly clean and stylish. Well equipped.
