Simple yet comfortable! The food was not the usual touristy fare. I'm not an expert of Umbrian cuisine but I felt it was proper--I enjoyed every supper during my stay and the price was very reasonable if not affordable; the red wine was delicious! I could do with a television in my room but if one is on pilgrimage in... More

Our group spent a night at this place. Rooms where clean without any entertainment appliance which is good if you want to contemplate. Staff are accomodating and good natured people. Try to get a room with a view of the street to get a good view of what life in Assisi in the morning.

This is a no frills hotel, basic but clean, no tv wifi worked intermittently. Food nothing to rave about. Breakfast is bear minimal, no fruit, no juice couple of creals to choose from. Lunch and dinner no choice, so if you don't like what is served you will have a problem. Food is served at the table, reminds me of... More

This is a very basic hotel located at the foot of the historic town of Assisi. That means that you will have a steep uphill climb every time you venture anywhere. The rooms are basic with twin beds for all. Our bathroom consisted of two small rooms; one for the toilet and sink and one for the shower. The shower... More

My husband wish we could have found this lodging place directly. As I wanted a “monastic lodging experience”, we looked on the internet and found a site called “Monastic Stays”. It was a HUGE mistake to book through them. We ended up paying 47 euros more PER NIGHT!!! In short, we highly recommend this accommodation – although ‘basic’, it’s clean,... More

A group of us stayed here for a pilgrimage, "In the Footsteps of St. Francis and St. Clare." A quiet atmosphere, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff was immensely helpful with everything we needed. The food was outstanding.

Exceptionally cheap hotel, with minimal contact with any of the staff. It appears to be some sort of religious conference centre for Pilgrims to Assisi, the place was over run with nuns. This explains why the 'hotel' is exceptionally basic and no frills. Bed was comfy enough though, but the rooms were solely just for sleeping, no tv or any... More
