We went today April 15 to visit this nice secluded spot on top of the Umbria mountains and with no much info we tried our good feelings and experience to try this new place. Starting from the walk from the parking to the main entrance to the sitting area this place is amazing. Is cozy, warm, feel like the best... More

We think this property is just amazing -- with views overlooking a long, narrow Umbrian valley, quite close to the medieval city of Assisi, this property was restored and is impeccable. As with many Italian properties, this B&B is up a very long and winding road, some parts unpaved -- but its worth the trip. We were in a small... More

Everything was great at this property: room, swimming pool, food and wine at the restaurant, own olive oil, view from the room. The only complication is to find it as GPS was not properly working. But just note their mobile phone number and give them a call: we were picked up and escorted within minutes. Highly recommended.

Spent a month in Italy and LeMandre de San Paolo was a favorite! We have plans to return. Food was excellent as was the beauty of this peaceful hill and the accommodations. We will return . I travelled with older people in their 90's so traveling was a challenge. Alex took very good care if us . We also loved... More

Alex is the proud and ambitious owner of this nicely converted hotel, but his management of this establishment has a lot to be desired. He was in the middle of cooking lunch at the restaurant within the hotel when we checked in, so he was a bit rushed. No tour around, no explanation of anything - the property, breakfast, etc. No... When looking for a place to spend a couple of quiet relaxing days enjoying the great sites near Assisi and its surroundings, whilst travelling though Italy on motorcycle, I came across Le Mandrie as an Agriturismo. It is indeed somewhat hard to find the first time you go, which I feel is part of its charm, but I had early... More

This is a family rustic estate managed by Alex, a unique person, an erudite and an idealist, working for the preservation of the planet and the uniqueness of Umbria and Italy. This place is located among a breathtaking vista whether in daytime or nighttime, well equipped, well maintained. The rooms are spacious and pleasant. The local restaurant is excellent and... More

The view from La Mandrie is perfect, the location excellent for access to Assisi, even the drive up a winding road was perfectly Ok. The owner was welcoming. We had no problems with the suite, which was simply furnished.(We could hear every word from the family in the adjacent room, but they were quiet at night. This could have been a problem. ) The... What an amazing place. Other reviews commented on the view and they are all right – breathtaking. We had everything from stunning sunsets to complete whiteout in the valley with fog, we felt like we were on top of the clouds. We spent 4 nights here and it was not enough. We had a self contained unit with kitchen. It... More
