A stay in this monastery is like a page off a medieval history book. A quiet meditative atmosphere, this monastery turned hotel is still home to nine Benedictine nuns. Please understand that this is a Benedictine monastery of about 10 nuns. Its in the tradition of their order to offer hospitality. It is not trying to pass itself off as a commercial , competitive, hotel. Anyone who has been on a spiritual retreat will understand and appreciate that they try to keep costs to a minimum to allow access... More

I stay here every time I come to Assisi which is every other year. The staff, the Sisters, and the home are all so very welcoming and wonderfully peaceful.
