Very nice and smiling host and hostess. Food was ok, not as good as expected in Tuscany. Not at all home made, mostly warmed ready-made sauces. At a week stay, we got every day the same set of crostini and foccacia. And some days the desert was a ice cream cone from the fridge! In Italy!!

If you come here expecting an authentic farm stay....you won't get one. This is a hotel....pure and simple. It's about 2k out of Vinci....off the busy main road along a lane between vines. It wouldn't be a pleasant walk back into town. Reception is difficult to locate....there isn't a sign. Someone eventually shouted down from an upstairs window and let... More

Just one night, sadly. A real gem of a place. Great hospitality, A spacious apartment in their farming estate and an inviting pool. The owner was very kind and helpful when we realised we had left some belongings in a taxi and sorted out our problem with no fuss. The setting is idyllic, in the Tuscan countryside. They produce olive... More

This wonderful farm stay in beautiful tranquil countryside is the perfect spot for exploring this part of Tuscany by road train or bus. The accommodation is clean and functional, the hospitality from family and staff was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and all meals were absolutely delicious. We felt almost part of the family and highly recommend this wonderful... More

We only stayed here for one night because we were passing through on our way to Florence and wanted to visit the birth house of Leonardo Da Vince. The environment of the house was exactly as I expected a Tuscan farmhouse to be - driveway flanked by those tall cypress trees that we think of as "typically Italian" and birds... More

We arrived at Il Piastrino as a substitute for previously booked holiday accommodation which had developed plumbing problems. What a gem! We were made to feel welcome by the whole family. Nothing was too much trouble. Without their help and guidance, what could have been a miserable holiday proved to be one of the best. The evening meals were a... More

As a non-Italian, just picture yourself a scene of movie in which an Italian family is having an excellent diner and enjoying life. Well we felt part of that scene at Il Piastrino. The combination of this relaxing entourage with very tasteful food (and a good wine) was the icing on your holiday cake. The rooms are not big for... More

Stayed here as part of a 7 day cycling trip, booked as part of our self guided tour. we cycled with our kids aged 9 and 11 from Lucca. The pool was the draw with chairs, ping pong table and if you ask Matina (owners 17 year old daughter) she will bring you a beer too. Breakfast was basic, homemade... More
