The holiday flat was perfect: - clean - big -new - everything was working very well ( kitchen, gas, heating, television, and the most important: hot water in the shower) - fresh towels and bed linen - very central to restaurants, bars and sightseeing - good and fast connection to florence and its airport - good internet Moreover, the flat... We stopped here in the middle of October for our wedding which was taking place just down the road. Our first impressions were wow from the breathe taking views and beautiful location! Lorenzo was great on checking in and made us feel very at home throughout out stay. The apartment had amazing views over Vinci and was equipped with everything... More

This place is very rustic. There's a good effort, but if you are looking for comfort, look elsewhere. The rooms are clean (ok), rustic...even full of charm and character, however after you check-in you are on your own. No cleaning service until you check out. The ceiling fans are filthy and TVs too small and without function (sat did not... More

Excellent location, beautiful environment, tastefully maintained house and rooms. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. They offer free mountainbikes but they seemed to be somewhat unprepared when we were asking for suggestions and map for the biking route. We took the mountain bike route they suggested and we really liked it, it was a lot of fun. Btw this biking... More

If you want to live the true "toscana" experience this is a prime location! The property is neat and full of charm, nested in an olive plantation. Vinci is just five minutes away. Owner and manager is friendly, but i got the impression that he forgot to care properly for the guest that day! I thinks he has room to... More

Well this is the second time this year we've stayed at Eva & Lorenzo's ''La Gioconda'', and I have to say it surpassed all of our expectations once again! It's always a gamble staying somewhere again, as your memory always makes everything glossier than reality, but not in this case! On views alone this place is stunning, and makes your... More

We stayed for two weeks at La Gioconda at the Coppia 1 apartment. With a lot of olive threes around us, nice swimming pool and a quite environment, there is nothing more we could wish. Ore maybe one thing, some clouds to cover the sun sometimes.

Found this agriturismo in my guidebook and they did not lie when they mentioned the gorgeous views and friendly hosts. The rooms were simple and comfortable but the views were breathtaking. The outdoor grill areas and tables allowed for some nice meals outside when we decided to stay in. Swimming pool was a nice touch too. We went during a... More

We have just spent two glorious weeks at La Gioconda in their largest appartment called 'Casa Terraza'. As the name suggests it has a large terrace which overlooks Vinci directly below, with amazing views of the Tuscan mountains & valley floor extending as far as the sea at Leghorn on a clear day! You really feel on top of the... More

We just returned from Italy and for 5 days of our trip we stayed at a hidden gem within the foot hills overlooking the village of Vinci. This rustic farmhouse was just what we needed to revitalize our souls and sooth our senses. The views were spectacular, the farmhouse/rooms were perfect and our hosts (Eva & Lorenzo) were absolutely outstanding.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In a panoramic position, 200 m from the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, the old agriturismo farmhouse has been renovated and has been welcoming guests in apartments and rooms with ensuite bathrooms for over 10 years. The farm, converted to organic farming 3 years ago, produces an PGI extra virgin olive oil and a red IGT Chianti. The agriturismo consists of a main house with the rooms, around which are the various apartments with private entrance, surrounded by a large garden with gazebos, tables , chairs and barbecue . At the agriturismo, guests can also enjoy the swimming pool, mountain bikes, table tennis and games for children. In September, guests can join in with the grape harvest. A short distance away are golf courses, spa centres, museums and cities of art. Staff can provide illustrative material for the area. The Tuscan capital is only 30 km away. ... more   less
