Quirky but well run hotel not far from the city, though, to be fair, the walk there is a little more than the 15 mins they (and some commentators on here) suggest ! Uphill all the way, too. The guy on the front desk is helpfulness personified and a pleasure to deal with. The room was very comfortable , even... More

While not modern, this hotel has real charm. It is about a fifteen minute walk to Il Campo and many of the desirable sights in Siena. We parked our car for three days and walked everywhere. We are a couple in our 60's and had no problems getting around. Wear comfortable shoes. The view was of the Tuscan hills and... More

Where do I start??? We booked for two rooms for two nights, the first room was small but manageable! The second room was on the first floor RM I . As soon as I opened the room, I knew straight away that something was wrong. When I sat on the bed , I felt that something very tiny was crawling... More

Excellent location. About 0.8 miles from main areas in Siena. Lovely hot tub and rooms suited our requirements. Would come again. Stunning vista from terrace and friendly staff with good local information and map. Air conditioning a welcome service and clean pleasant room.

It was 2 days before the Paolo in Siena, and we found ourselves looking for a hotel in Siena. Rick Steves' "Italy" listed this hotel and we found it to be a real value and, surprisingly, with a room available on a Friday night just before the famous race. The owners were very congenial and gave us many tips on... More

Stayed here on the first night of our honeymoon. The hotel is a stones throw away from central Sienna. The staff were friendly and gave us good recommendations of where to eat/what to do in sienna. We really enjoyed the views from the outdoors hot tub!

This hotel was first place where we went after getting off the highway. And first impression of Toscana couldn't be better. Hotel is small, located on big lot with some small rabbits running around, surrounded with beautiful hillside scenery with all colors of green. Only 10 minutes walking from the city wall, in the same time feeling is like miles... More

Located a couple of hundred metres outside the city walls, it is a short and interesting walk into the main sights of Seina. There is parking here on site, leave your car and explore The town. The view out of our room window is fantastic and despite being so close to town it feels like being out in the countryside.... More

Hotel Porta Romana is just outside the ancient walls of Siena on the old road to Rome, within easy walking distance of Piazza Del Campo. When you drive into the hotel grounds though, there is a different world. There are extensive gardens and terraces, woodland and wild life (deer & pheasant) and beautiful views across the Tuscan hillside. We had... More

Very nice hotel with great view and very good service. Just outside of the city wall.We choose it because of the parking space for the car. From there the city's center (piazza and duomo) are about 15-20min on foot which is ok.The mornings you are greeted with great view from the outside (not all rooms of course) and birds singing. The breakfast...
