I picked this hotel based on reviews from several sites. I wanted close to old Siena, but not too close. Villa Elda is just that. My experience with the staff was excellent. The breakfast was very good and my room was nice. Nothing special, but nice. My bathroom was large except for the shower which was tiny. Free internet was... more

Although my 7th trip to Europe this decade, this was my first with a my girlfriend. Was a long day's journey from NYC via Milan and we expected to be zonked out. But Villa Elda quickly worked its romantic spell and our vacation was magical from Night One! We were altogether a party of five, staying two nights at the... more

The thing that really stuck out here was the wonderful staff. We were here two nights, and really only used the place as a springboard into our activities in Siena. The staff helped us with restaurant reservations, reserving a spot on a wine tour, and providing general recommendations. it's on the edge of historic central Siena. So you are in... more

We showed up at this hotel after a miserable stay in Florence and it was like a vacation within a vacation. The place is as pretty as the pictures. The staff greeted us like old friends and spoke perfect English. They booked us a cab back to the airport, mapped our path to the Campo and Duomo and advised us... more

We stayed here on the basis of the reviews on this site and were pretty disappointed. Our room wasn't in the main villa but more of a converted garage. The bedroom had no windows and the bathroom had a vaguely unpleasant smell. Unfortunately the only way to get any air in the room was to open the bathroom window &... more

This was easily the best hotel we stayed at during our honeymoon around Tuscany. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay and the service was fantastic! The staff were very helpful and provided a map marking on the best local restaurants, drwing the best way to get there from the hotel. They were so friendly and keen to help, nothing was... more

I'm very disappointed with Villa Elda. I booked this hotel because of the excellent reviews I red about it! But it's an ordinary hotel, standard room with a poor and cheap breakfast. I payed the highest-price in whole my trip in Italy! Yes the staff is very very smiley.. but.. How much all those smiles!!!?!?!! more

Villa Elda is a clean and comfortable small hotel, a good 15 minute walk from the Campo...be prepared to walk...in a very nice neighborhood. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got two great restaurant recommendations from Cinzia: Taverna San Guiseppe and I Biondi (?). Breakfasts were simple, but good. Parking is available if your reserve well in advance...only... more

We stayed in the Panoramic Room for two nights in early September. Villa Elda was lovely and in a quiet residential neighborhood. An easy walk into Siena as well as the bus station (okay, not especially easy with 20 lbs. backpacks but doable). We arrived before the check-in time but since our room was ready, we were shown to our... more
