The location simply can’t be beat and the people working were EXTREMELY helpful. Many hotels on TripAdvisor with top ratings are on the outskirts or outside the city walls and I nearly booked them. However after being in Siena and enjoying the city so much I can’t imagine staying actually not in the center of town thus making this hotel... more

We stayed here for the Palio last month. It was, as the other reviews say, charming and characterful. The staff were helpful and friendly. Our room (the one in the main photo) was pretty although a bit dated - don't expect too much from the bathroom. The Residenza is incredibly central, on one of the main 'passeggiata' streets, so as... more

Totally charming and so comfortable. I felt like I had been transported in time and absolutely loved the historical atmosphere. Everyone was so helpful in seeing that I had all the information I required for getting to other locations. I stayed there four days using it as my hub for exploring other sites in Tuscany. I found the location very... more

Our trip was to visit with our daughter who is studying in Siena and lives right off the Piazzo di campo. this was the perfect location - right in the heart of everything. Room was large, very clean and old world charming. You do have to navigate stairs as it is on the 3rd floor and above but there is... more

I have been there for two days, yes, the hotel is in the very heart of Siena, just 50 meters far from Piazza del Campo. The price to pay is that you will not find the services of a same-price hotel, which is fine for me but one should know. The hotel does not have any sign outside the building's... more

Great little hotel. It's a short walk to the Piazza of the Palio race. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an Palazzo (3rd floor...so you have to take the lift in the courtyard) and could be not easy to find.. Our room was large and airy, with a great view of the famous city tower. more

terrific!

Friendliness of the staff was over the top. The atmosphere of the room was Italian all the way. Free internet and a very doable breakfast. We left for our next trip at 04:30 and we found a breakfast packed and waiting. more

A tip: the name of this place is Palazzo Fani Mignanelli and not Residenza D'epoca...i found out "residenza d'epoca" in Italy is a kind of a small hotel in historical palace. Further.. not so easy to find this little gem on tripadvisor for my review but the address helped me :-) Anyhow .. the location terrific, the room was very... more
