Palazzo Masi was a wonderful accommodation for our 2 day stay in Siena. It is centrally located; less then a 5 minute walk to Il Campo and to all the historic sites Siena has to offer. The room was large enough for 3 people to be comfortable. It was quiet with a charming decor and updated bathroom and the rates... more

This bed and breakfast was recommended to us by a Rick Steves guidebook, and certainly made our choice of the guidebook and accomodations in Siena wise purchases. it is impossible to reconcile the very few negative reviews on this site with our stay at Palozzo Masi. The room we had was clean, very convenient to everything in the central town... more

My wife and I (in our fifties) spent 2 nights at Palazzo Massi in Siena. Daniela and her husband were very welcoming and kind to us, and provided a variety of helpful info. The room was charming, large, with tile floors, and exposed beams overhead, in a building that is centuries old, but with a modern bathroom. We found it... more

We stayed at Palazzo Masi as part of honeymoon tour of tuscany. As commented elsewhere it`s not the place for modern luxury. It is however full of character, from the massive wooden front door on. Great location a couple of minutes stroll from Il Campo, and easy to explore beautiful Siena on foot from there. I was a bit surprised... more

We recently took the advice of Rick Steves' travel in Italy book and booked a two night stay in Siena at the Palazzo Masi. Perfectly located near Il Campo in a beautiful historic medieval building quite comfortably modernized and clean. Daniela is the perfect hostess--she gave us excellent recommendations for dining, and where to find everything we needed in Siena.... more

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in palazzo masi. Daniela was as good as her word and guaranteed us her best room - La staffa. We decided not to take part in the breakfast, but felt the room was wonderful. Nice and large, and comfortable. We had just come from a room in Rome, which was a lot tighter,... more

We made plans a full year in advance to be sure of being in Siena for the Palio. We wanted a place inside the walls, either a room or an apartment and we wanted to be close to the campo to experience the excitement. When we found Palazzo Masi we thought it fitted our needs and our budget and they... more

Its a convenient location to the center of siena. Its clean and easy; not that many frills, but it didn't matter to me since i went on wine tours during the day. the room is spacious and you are essentially renting your own room in a flat. the only slight drawback is having a shared bathroom - but since everyone... more

Siena is a Midevil city. It is magnificent. So, stay somewhere magnificent. Palazzo Masi is an 800 year old building. Wow! The rooms are just off the piazza--exactly where you want to be. Walking distance for sure but not too noisy so its the best of both worlds. Daniella is the inn keeper and I challenge you to find a... more

Palazzo Masi has an absolutely wonderful location and very nice hostess, Daniela. However, we were disappointed in the room and "little things". The bed was lumpy and old, room was small, and, even though this really is a little thing...the towels were basically old, threadbare rags. A couple of nice new towels would really have been nice, and I don't... more
